Happy birthday to both of you--you've added so much enjoyment with your posts.

Thank you all so much! I had a lovely birthday and my week off ends today. It has been so much fun having extra time to spend on the forum with the Era challenge. YLF is like an endless party with the smartest, most stylish women all over the world. I'm thankful to have met many of you (Diana and Nancy twice!), and hope to do so whenever opportunity knocks! Thankyou all so much!  I've loved reading them.  And I'd so love to meet all of you I haven't met yet!

I had a lovely birthday. It began with breakfast on a tray made by DD9 and then some gluten free chocolate croissants that I found (haven't eaten one for 2 years).(Actually probably won't buy them again - not quite the same as the real thing).
The girls had made a birthday banner and I received some  neclaces and some homemade biscuits from them

Like Una, I had the day off work -in my case as I don't work Thursdays, but it was way less busy than usual because it was school holidays so I spent some time playing a board game with the girls and contributing to the fashion era challenge.

We had Thai take away for tea, another favourite I hadn't had for over a year, now possible because I discovered a local restaurant that does gluten free items. DH and I had gone out for dinner the previous Saturday to a fancy place when we had a child free night.

And then I meant to sit down and thankyou all in the evening, but got stuck making a cake to take into work and helping DD11 fill out an application form - so here I am on Saturday night writing to you!

Anne - You were already here when I found YLF, and throughout all those years you have always been extremely supportive of, YLF, me and all the other Fabbers who joined before and after you came on board. Thank you for that! I miss you when you can't be around as much, and continue to be impressed with your marvelous Mum-on-the-Go style and great knack for remixing wardrobe items. Your patience, intelligence, level-headed advice, thoughtful and honest input and kind words for anyone who needs a bit of extra support never go unnoticed. Plus, it's been super fun to see how you've been tweaking your style and have been adding a few fab new pieces for your new work environment. Sounds like you had a fantastic day, and how lovely that you found a Thai place that does gluten-free food. Yay!

Una - You are the closest I'll ever get to Keanu Reeves, our very own Hollywood connection;-) and the coolest and most stylish Mum in Alaska. I was nodding along with everything Angie wrote, and I too continue to be impressed with your emotional intelligence and the way you can take a deep breath and then reply (always spot on) to even the most tricky forum threads. I can't tell you how often you make me laugh with your self-deprecating humour (I bet you are a hoot and a half in real life too) and down-to-earth attitude. I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing your style evolve (you've even been throwing some white into the mix;-) and am very excited to see how your fab new 'do will continue to amp up your already super high style quotient.
