Wow - you all sure know how to make a girl feel great! Thank you so much!

We had a fun festive evening with a visit to a nursing home to honor veterans with my son's Boy Scout troop, and an ice cream sundae dessert. My parents had bought containers for my kids to decorate and paint, then filled the containers with different candy toppings for ice cream. It was a fun, crowd-pleasing gift.

In addition to that, my kids made me butterfly earrings (I'll post pics in a day or two, when I get around to taking them), and one of my daughters gave me several haiku poems that she'd written. They're so fantastically special. My mother made me a necklace (again - pics another day).

It was a very fun evening!

Tomorrow I get to spend the day with one of my best friends, shopping at area Good Wills all day long, and having a special birthday lunch out. It will be a blast! I'm taking a specific list and hoping that I'm disciplined enough to stick to it
