Happy Birthday dear, dear Rae! It is such a pleasure to know you. As others have said you are mature beyond your years, and you have such knowledge and insight on all matters style. I have enjoyed watching your own style explode this year. I guess even more growth happens during the tough times, fashion and otherwise!

I really appreciated the spot on comments you made to me at the meet-up, each one sparking a mini-epiphany. When we were looking at pearls, you said that one necklace seemed "to messy" for my style (a jumbled, twisted, multi-strand one) and another was "to organic" (irregular freshwater ones). Duh! I guess I never thought of it that way, and you were absolutely right. I still haven't found a way to wear pearls that works yet, but I have been looking at other items through that same lens. Thank you for that!

I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Your next year is bound to be better than your last. Enjoy your thirties. Your forties will be even better, but don't feel bad that you're not there yet.

Ooooh, happy birthday, Rae!! We've had front row seats in seeing how you've refined your already brilliant style, and it's been such a treat. Extremely inspiring and helpful too, because I always pick up something from your WIWs and your comments on other Fabbers' threads. You really have "the knack", Rae, a very good sense of what suits you and your personality, and what suits other people too. No wonder that you felt drawn to a career in this field, and it's just so awesome that you are making this happen. With tons of panache, intelligence and style verve too boot!
I hope this next year will only bring happy surprises and everything you are hoping for.

My dear Rae, I hope you had an amazing birthday, you deserve it. It has been a honor to see you style blossom from the early days of the one dollar wonders, to this amazing, original and edgy girl that always is "on point". You had a great starting point but now, your style is brilliant.

Personally, I admire your wisdom and resillience. Wow, you are still a baby, yet, what I see in front of me is this mature, intelligent and poised woman. If I only knew half as what you know when I was 30, umm, I wish. I hope you know you will always have a friend on me, for years to come. Side note: I completely adored having you for a roomie in CA and I can't wait to have a larger abode so I can invite you all to stay with me in frigid NYC! Thank you so much for all the wonderful birthday wishes! I have had a "progressive" birthday this year since my work hours didn't necessarily line up with those of my friends and family. Today I am working, DH is working late, and I'll pretty much be home alone, so I saved up all these messages to read today, as my Actual Birthday Treat!

One of the (many) things I love about YLF is all these touching, personal birthday wishes. Many times cards arrive in the mail that just say "Happy Birthday," but on our birthday threads here everyone says such wonderful things that totally give a gal the warm fuzzies. I don't know if it was luck or irresistable/inevitable magnetism that brought me here, but I do count myself as a very lucky person to have a group of friends - and fashion family members! (waving at Una and Marley!) - like you!

The other beautiful thing about this forum is how I feel very optimistic and pleased to be moving forward in years, thanks to you ladies. Some people have asked if I'm okay with turning 30 and, although I do kind of wonder where the heck the time has gone, I don't feel at all like I have gone over the hill or expired or whatever the Hallmark cards say. There are so many things to look forward to, and so many fabulous examples to emulate, so many possibilities, and so many people to share great experiences with!
