It also seems like bad business practice, unless they want to eventually eliminate the B&M stores. I spoke to my SA in Jewelry and it was not a good sale for her. I asked; she didn't bring it up. I think it was because people were shopping online, so you lose the shoppers who come in for something else but decide to just "take a peek, as long as they are in the store anyway". Their price adjustment practice makes online purchasing look like the better choice.
I agree it is too soon to reduce the price.
I wonder if they have a lot of merchandise that came back after the sale that they want to get sold. I know some of my returns that were after the sale because of the time it took for clothes to arrive. And then if I wanted to try another size, I kept the original until the new size arrived.
And to be honest, some are late because I was trying to like them and it took me time to realize they weren't going to work. And some I'm still not sure of. And one or two I'm holding to see if I change size.
So far only one of mine is cheaper now, and several are sold out. And I still haven't decided whether to keep it, so I won't ask for an adjustment yet.
