Thanks for the kind, supportive words, everyone!

Slim Cat, I didn't expect there to be streaking. But I like it.

Nikki, high five to having the same type of hair! We are hair-projecting together and enjoying the adventure.

Ginger, about four to five more inches. You're lucky to have fast growing hair!

Stag, the stacked and neat back goes a long way to helping me feel neat and tidy!

Bijou, if I do what my stylist tells me to do - I can guarantee good condition

Joy, it's handy that I can continue wearing the same colours!

RosaandJoan, you get it! I remember you growing out your pixie, and how well you sported the in-between styles. I hope to do the same.

Kkards, that's exactly right. Hope to be past the worst in-between stages by the Summer.

I like the grow out very much, Angie. It’s looking really good. I let my hair grow out during the pandemic, when I couldn’t go to a salon, and it’s now shoulder length! I sometimes talk about going short again, but my family rebels, so I’m keeping it for now. Still blonde, though, which is pretty seamless with the grey and feels very good and authentic to me. I’m not personally ready to go grey, though admire it greatly on others. My day may come for that. Stay patient and stay stylish — I know you will !

Really nice, Angie — I especially like the color! Grow-out projects really test our patience but I think you’ve got this handled beautifully so far!

Love the color. Can’t wait to see where you go with the length.
Gorgeous as always!

Your natural color is just lovely, Angie, and adding the length will be a fun change. Do you have inspiration pics for the end result?

Kyle, Debbie, Jenn and Janet, thanks for the kind words and support! You ALL have fabulous long hair

Jenn, no inspiration pics other than that these will be the grow-out stages, I want my natural colour, a long fringe, and to wear it both wavy and straight!

Ohhh, those all look fun. I love that you’re making the grow-out an adventure of its own.

Your natural colour is very pretty. As Jenn said it is great that you are making it an adventure. Before I joined YLF, I always had short hair and would give up at certain stages of growing it out, but you seem to manage to do it stylishly.

Fun! I know this is about your hair but I must start by complimenting your gorgeous skin - you are glowing! I actually had no doubt you would stick with this grow up - whether you stick with the completed project is another story! I love the natural color, love the grow out look that would be a goal for someone else, and want to see it wavy too!

Looking lovely! Never realized before I have a similar color to yours, dark blonde. It was platinum blonde as a kid but getting darker lately.

Angie, I love the colours! The mix of dark and lighter is beautiful! It will be lighter in summer, as well. I know SOOOO well the difficulty of growing out a pixie but you look beautiful in this and it will only get better with time!

Jenn and Sally, I'm enjoying the hair adventure. Never a dull moment!

Jaime and Suz, thanks for the supportive and kind compliments

Erin, high five to Dark Blonde! I was a toe-head as a child.

Even though it is only transitional, the current cut and length works very well for you. Hang in there Angie, you can do it!

Oh-la-la!! I just LOVE your own color Angie-very close to mine in my younger age. I especially love the nape-- I find it so candid and youthfull!:-)) Cannot wait to see the end results-did you post the new inspiration pictie already? ETA: I've found it--looks so lovely!!!

Looks great and love the inspo pics!

Wishing you well with the hair project.
I think the “ new” color will be great- rich honey tones maybe? Gives you options for highlights which would actually be highlights, or just all natural. The warmer color will look fab with your peachy complexion.
I predict it will affect how you wear some of your wardrobe colors—possibly buying some new hues, but maybe just what goes best with what. Yummy camels and cognacs. Creams and warm whites will pop more. Bookending will be a little different. Lots of great new ensembles to try!

Absolutely love it ! I think the longer length really suits you and the color too . I can't wait to see the end result , keep going !

You’ve got such a pretty natural hair color! It’s hard to get through the grow-out, but it will be worth it in the end. I’m letting mine grow a little longer right now too, and I think after I retire in June I might try letting it go to my natural color, which I think, judging from when we couldn’t go to the hairdresser in 2020, will be very white/light gray. If I hate it or if it makes me look old(er), I’ll dye it immediately!

I'm cheering you on! Love that photo series of the grow-out stages. What a great encouragement to keep going!

Angie, your hair is beautiful!

Also, I think it's time for a hair-flip photo, a la Charming, in Shrek (reference photo below)

I love it! You manage to never look like you're growing it out--all the style feels deliberate!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Bella and Gail, I will keep going! I’m motivated

Leslie, good to know!

Laura, you’ve grown your hair out from a pixie MANY times. You are my inspiration

Lyn67, our hair colours are aligning! Thanks for your grace.

Suntiger, pics just for you…..since you were the one that asked!

Unfrumped, I thought I’d have to adjust my colour palettes too! But so far, it’s all working out well. White and cream footwear looks just as fab …… to my eye, anyway! I see more blues in my future though……

Karie, I’m excited for your natural colour, and like your grow-out!

MaryBeth, thanks for making me laugh! You are fun.

ETA, I like this striped, blonde streaking:

Love grow-out adventures (and big chops, too )! I'm two years into my pandemic project grow-out and my hair is the longest it's *ever* been (currently armpit length). I love the surprise of seeing how colour and texture change at different lengths. Your new darker blond colour is gorgeous, lots of depth and variation.

Ooh I love the new inspiration photos, Angie! It's going to look fantastic!
Your hair has grown a lot already, and I agree with Jules: that the grow-out looks very intentional. The dark blonde is stunning, looks natural and striking, and it's very flattering with your complexion. Can't wait to see the "final" result;-)

La Ped, you had a great grow-out! I LOVE your short fringe.

Inge, thanks for your sweet words, and encouragement, my friend

As per MaryBeth… “then she flicked her hair… he began to stare”- Greg had better watch out!
And isn’t there a scene in the Charlie’s Angel movie ( Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu version-loved that movie) where the other girls told Cameron Diaz’s character to flick her hair when a guy was watching?

JenniNZ, I don't recall, but having a little more hair to flick will be a "new" feeling!

I love the shape and swing in the back, Angie! You and your stylist are both making the most of the slow change!
