Thanks viva! I love boots and all footwear and am now in turmoil over some shoes I found and wondering what to decide
I loved meeting up with Carol, Lyn and Deborah. As I commented in the other thread, it is an amazing experience to be with these women who know themselves and are confident, poised and at ease with themselves. And also to experience how nurturing they and we can be with each other's own style choices and goals. I love how the diversity of our styles is no obstacle like it could be elsewhere but instead a source of fascination, inspiration, learning and fun.
I was just reflecting last night on how wonderful it felt for me to have the ladies come and check out things I like and take a deep interest - nobody does that very often in life. It made me feel very special. I also noticed not from my perspective but some of the others that my style skewed the "youngest" of the group - I recall a couple of lines I gravitated to, someone said they liked it but don't tend to shop there as they find it a bit young for them. I actually think that is part of what makes this such a nurturing experience. To have these women around me who, even if they seem more mature somehow, are encouraging me and being positive about my style - it is bringing a tear to my eye now as it is almost like being mothered, in a way I couldn't have with my own mum. Even if they were not old enough to be my actual mums
Thankyou again ladies, let's do it again xoxoxo
