Thanks for the top tips Angie!

I love the look of the trousers! I wore some similar many years ago, but I was thinner then, which helped mitigate the shortness of my torso. I kinda feel like I need to be my thinnest to wear this successfully, and I don't think that's happening any time soon.

I'm not sure how I could do this now. No bow blouses for me, so I'm with Rae in wanting a top with a little more structure -- a tucked Equipment blouse? But I fear high waists are coming back into style, and I don't think they look good on me at all. The last time I tried on a pair, hubs nixed the look in a heartbeat. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I'm not encouraged.

By the way ladies, no pussy bow blouses for me either. I gave them up 4 years ago. I'm complementing the blogger and am much inspired by the overall silhouette and combination - rather than the individual pieces themselves.

High waistbands are harder to wear on short waisted gals, but a column of colour makes this quite wearable.

Actually, I think this look is excellent on a pretty pair with a small waist.

Oh, I love a fluid fit wide leg pant! I'm super long in the torso, so I LOVE a higher waist and fully tucked blouse. This is wonderful!
