Does anyone have a pair 20 eyelets in gray? I'm thinking about ordering one, found it on sale for 120, how is the color in real life? I need something that will trek through slush and snowy sidewalks, but not Uggs all the time...

*Waving hands in the air* me me me I do! I LOVE them. They are 8 hour boots for me so warm and comfy and perfect for snow and slush. Make sure you waterproof them before wearing them out as I didn't and got salt stains on them though I have just about managed to polish them out. My feet are 6 1/2 UK so I got the 7's and have room for thick socks in them.

Wow, they look so nice on you, love the plum/gray, I don't have gray boots and it's a nice gray, too. My feet are 6 1/5-7 US or 37 European, I think I should get 5 UK then? It's a little confusing.
What do you wear yours with?

I wear them with everything. Skinnies, leggings, skirts, dresses........ They give *girly* outfits a bit of edge. Are you fairly tall? Some of the YLF ladies have found the 20 eyelets too tall in the shaft. In a normal boot they would have been too tall on me but the laces allow me too reign in the gap at the top x

I'm 5'6", so hopefully they'll be OK with height. Hmm I looked at the older posts about sizing, you say you're 6 1/2 in UK sizing Louise? I was thinking I was either 5 or 4 UK (6 1/2-7 US or 37 Euro), I wish I remembered what size were my old green Docs way back in high school LOL!

I seem to recall from a post that Angie is 5'6" too so hopefully you'll be OK. I've just bought some clogs from Land's End and a UK 6 was a US 8 so if they are correct you take off 2 numbers to get the UK size. I found it best to go with the larger size in the docs to allow for thick socks, when I tried the 6 they were snug with one pair of thin socks and not much room to wiggle my toes, I'm also going to put an insole in for extra comfort and warmth x

Hi, Isabella, I haven't tried US sizing but my Filofax gives US 6.5=GB5=EUR38 and US7=GB5.5=39, which would suggest sizing up??

Thanks Louise and Lynne, seems like I came to the same conclusion - UK size is US size-2, I'm not a true US 7 (more in between 6 1/2 and 7) so I think 5 will be right. Of course, the only way to know it to try them on, I have to double check the site has free returns!
