I am sorry for your loss.

I know I'm not alone in missing a dear pet. I've read (and will re read) each message and truly value the kindness each one expresses.

So sorry for your loss. We lost our dear Bunny in August and got a new one that's been at college with our son. Just this week with her being home, my daughter who is 25 burst into tears as she realized this new bunny is so different from her beloved Chloe. Mourning is a process, take it day by day.

What a sweet note. Sorry, there is so much sadness in losing such a loved dog.

I'm so sorry, Helen. A dog's love is like no other.

I'm so very sorry to hear this! I know a dog is like family, and the loss is intense and long lasting. Hugs!!!

Helen, I'm very late to this thread but wanted to tell you how very sorry I am. It truly is losing a family member. Hugs to you.

I cannot tell you how sorry I am Bertie. My deepest sympathies. I am so glad that the two of you brought each other joy. : (

A couple of weeks down the track, and I feel like I'm coping better. I can at least tell people without bursting into tears.
It has been comforting to know that lovely fabbers have been thinking of me. You really are the best.

Helen, when our first Jack Russell died a few years ago, I couldn't talk about him without crying. My neighbor and I went to the national dog agility trials held here in town. We watched, and walked around and talked to people. Everyone there had gone through it. The problem is that dogs just don't live long enough. Anyway, the more I talked about him, the easier it became.

Since then, we've adopted another Jack Russell. The woman from the rescue organization was funny. "You had one and you want another?" She couldn't believe it. Anyway, the new one (we've had him for almost five years) is an absolute sweetheart.

Helen, I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is often as hard as losing a human. Glad to hear you are progressing through the grieving process and starting to feel better.

Sending hugs your way. I know how awful losing a beloved fur baby can be.

My sympathy Helen. How are you holding up?

Gosh, you ladies really are the best.
JAileen, thank you for posting the photos of your dogs. Jack Russells have big personalities! Bertie was a very un-terrier like terrier. Not like the JRT beside us in our early obedience classes who peed on his owner's leg!
I wish I could see a national agility competition. Those dogs have such fun. Bertie and I got his Endurance title, then children intervened and we didn't manage any more obedience or agility work after that.
Thank you, Aziraphale and Karie for thinking of me.
Anne, I'm going along ok. Thank you for asking. Our other little dog is cheering up now, and starting to play again so that makes me feel better, too.
