Glamour Girls ... A fun exercise

Hello ladies!

Two friends and I have been having fun the past two days glamming up our denim jackets with vintage pins. They both have jewelry boxes full of beautiful brooches handed down to them by their mothers and grandmothers. Here is what we came up with!

We had a blast putting these together and were furiously emailing our versions back and forth. With fab friends like these, it's a wonder I ever get anything accomplished!

I love it when I see it as part of the outfit. Ah, I remember some fantastic brooches from my grandmother I used to play with. I wonder whatever happened to that stuff.

I wonder whatever happened to the pieces my grandmother used to wear. Some were amazingly beautiful, others quirky and fun.

SOOOO pretty!! I adore this. I have one reproduction sparkly brooch but I think you need more for the look to work. The other ones I have are plain silver -- really interesting in their own right, but quite different. I will have to experiment, though, and see what clustering those might look like. Thanks for the inspiration!

Such fun! Love your versions. I think I'll join you this weekend! I purchased a new denim jacket at Nordies (and once I go back so they can remove the security tag I can wear it... new salesperson and I even reminded her to check...) I have some vintage rhinestone pins that I never wear enough.

I'm so glad I saw this Debora! I love this idea. One broach is nice, but a cluster of them is divine! I love the colored groupings too. How cool that you have enough of these to wear the all different ways. Your shimmering shoes are the perfect counterpoint!
