I have to agree with Jonesy - this just seems like them CYAing rather than actually regretting what they did. I respect Glamour's investigative journalism because they seem to be the only women's fashion magazine still writing pieces about, say, genital mutilation in Africa, but their fashion stuff has not hit a chord for me for years.
It's a slippery slope, though, isn't it - we don't want to ban all criticism, or disagreement about what is stylish or fashionable. I do see that there's a power differential when a 'regular person' has their picture posted in a magazine for hundreds of thousands to see, as opposed to celebrities panned on the internet and in talk shows, who kinda know what they're in for, a bit.
