I like them on you, they are very flattering, and like the combos with the BCBG and white tops the best. The two-toned/re-done denim is supposed to big this season. I tried them too and liked them but at at the end went with a similar pair from Express as the rise on the Gap version was a bit too low for me.
I really like them they are interesting and very flattering on you.I like them with the BCBG top. The black jacket and booties is my fave pic.I think KEEP !
Thanks for the feedback! Tanya, interesting that Express is offering very nearly the same style! Of course, if a rise is too low for you, it's probably just enough mid rise for me. I sometimes wish I could go back in time and have the spinal surgery to correct my scoliosis -- I probably would have ended up 5'8" or 5'9" and with the extra inch or two in my torso!
For the price I paid for these (on sale, plus a coupon), I think I can justify keeping some trendy denim to kick up my collection for the next few seasons.
I'm loving #1 and #7. I agree that they aren't the most versatile but they're fun and different for those of us who live in jeans. They're on super markdown at Gap Canada so I imagine you got that same great price......so, I'd say a great buy.
How did you find the sizing?
Edit.....They're even cheaper in Canada! Marked down to $35.98
I think these look absolutely fantastic on you, Janet, and they are perfect for the arty-edgy side of your style persona!!
I actually ordered a similar pair from Gap yesterday, just before I saw your forum thread, and if they look even half as fantastic on me as yours then I'll be very happy
I didn't expect to like these jeans, but I have to say they look nice and different (in a good way). I especially love them with the basic light shirt (#1) and with the black coat and boots. They add some "spice" to these elegant minimal outfits.
Two-tone jeans must really be A Thing, as Top Shop/Nordstrom has them in addition to Gap and Express. All three places look like they have different rises, so there's a rise for everyone.
