A serious note....on the beige shoes...my mother (89) has a similar pair in black. She hates them, but they were prescribed after a fall and broken ankle/ foot. And she has no choice. It is the case for many women. Those particular ones look as if they are shoes for people with diabetes. I think we can all agree that they are ugly, but some people really can't choose. Ditto for the elastic was it pants. Buttons, zippers, and other fasteners can become very difficult for arthritic fingers.
<steps off soapbox, and thus endeth the threadjack.>
I want to focus here on the June event. It is true that it can be challenging to find nice dressy clothing that is not either frumptastic or more like something a lady of the night might choose -- but it is far from impossible, and many of us here have done it. So, Always Trying, what is your event? What is the weather likely to be? What is your body type and what are your style preferences?
Let's get shopping!!!
I have a terrific dress that I think would be suitable for most events. It is not frumpy (I don't think) and it is modest. It might not be the right type of style for your event or your body type, but it offers and example, no? Please don't despair!
We can help!
