From the sublime to LensCrafters (glasses 5)

My trunk show and my trip to Venice Beach having left me unsatisfied, I went to the mall and to LensCrafters where I'd be left alone to try on frames that were not under lock and key.

This is what I came up with. At the very least I feel I'm zeroing in on what works. I have to have a curved top line or the frame bisects my big eyelids. I want at least one pair of glasses that is hair colored. I want some depth. I can picture having one of these along with the gray McQueen for when I want drama! Or are they not that different?

Honestly--do you think either of these looks good? If you're still with me thanks so much! Sorry about the eye, it needs surgery

I haven't read your other thread yet, but I like the first pair. They look very current (curved lines, larger lens area).

Thanks, Laura. For a pair of every day glasses I'm liking these a lot. I also like #3 but I am afraid they would wear me.

Of these two, #1 is the best. Will you please try on a deep red or burgundy color for me?

I really like #1. And I still really like the McQueen's, too. Can you get both? But get them in different enough colours that you feel it is a change.

Suz, at this point I'm seriously considering getting two pairs. I won't feel okay without a very neutral pair, but there might also be a place for More. To me dark tortoise and medium gray are very different colors, lol, but I'm open!

I like #1 better than #2. To me, though, #1 and #3 look pretty similar. If I were going to get them both, I would get very different colors.

I think Deb's suggestion of a burgundy sounds nice. Do you feel like you'd like to experiment with some colors beyond tortoise and gray?

Oh, I wish I had done this when I picked out my new glasses last week. I have waited too long--and reading is getting more and more difficult every day--but still. I will wear mine for years and they are so expensive.

Alana, when I got my last glasses (which are now broken, hence the search for new ones) I wished I'd had ylf help me!

3 are ones I'm considering from a few trips ago. I really like them but am worried they are too much!

Gigi, I tried blue ones in post 3. Also purple and green. There's a certain shade of olive green that I'd love to have of the shape were right. And now I'll try red for Deb!

I like #1 a lot. An updated classic tortoise in a good shape and color for you. I also like the thickness of the frames--they are bold enough for your features without overpowering them--just right.
I agree that #1 and #3 are quite similar, though #3 are more statement frames and #1 more reserved (or less noticeable?). So I can see how they would serve different purposes and suit different outfit moods. (I seem to have missed the colored frame post, but I like the idea of olive for you. I'll have to go back and find it.)

I love the first one! I like them best from all the ones you posted so far. The color and the shape is great and the thickness of the frame seems to be just right for your features.

i have an eye appointment in july and I'm looking for style ideas =>meaning remake. I've had these same frames for the past two years.
