1. Re: Eileen Fisher Jean's Angie recommended. I somehow ended up with 2 pairs, 1 black and 1 blue. I have never owned black Jean's and will probably return these but for anyone interested, the sizing seems very inconsistent!! The blue were snug everywhere, including my calves, but the black were perfectly loose. They are the same size/cut/style.

2. Summit Jacket by Nic and Zoe, another Angie pick. This runs large on me. It's hard to tell in this picture but I'm swamped by the jacket except for the sleeves which are short. I think someone else mentioned the sleeves issue. I still kind of like the zebra pattern. I'm not sure if it's the right version for me though....what do you think?

3. DVF Dakota Boots....not part of the sale, but I purchased them because I liked their looks and they fit my ankles!! Hooray! They are good for anyone with skinny ankles and very very pretty!!

4. Free People Flowers in her hair smock detail tunic top. This one I like even though it is so put of character. The bright tangerine color is happy with the lavender flowers and it is a great top to wear under long toppers. I like it with the zebra topper and with the leopard topper. It also looks nice with a blue cashmere cardigan I purchased last year from NAS (not pictured). I'm less fond of the top without a topper, but I don't hate it.
4. Paige Transcend Manhattan Bootcut Jeans-- I can never tell size with these. Do I need to size up? The legs seem tight maybe?

5. Blondo Eliza Bootie....I really want to love the Blondo booties but I don't. They just dont fit me as well and are not as elegant a look for me...IMO. However they are waterproof!! The DVF are not waterproof. So very very sad!!

6. Cupcakes and Cashmere leopard print cardigan. Not part of the NAS, but from Nordies and about the same cost of the zebra topper at sale price. Is this too big? I am ordering everything in size small, and if I size down the sleeves will be too short. Ugh!! The sleeve length looks good.

I would say pass on the jeans. Very disappointing that at the EF price pointed expectation for quality that the sizing is so inconsistent. After quality issues on a couple of EF pieces, I have stopped buying from her.

I would pass not he Summit jacket. You are swamped by it. Next!

I like the top on you, but how likely are you to reach for a top that requires a topper to make you feel your best?

Yep, I was pretty disappointed with the Blondos,too. Mine are also going back.

I like your items, not sure about the sizing on other items, but to me the leopard does look quite oversized. From the front it looks much bigger than the zebra.

I prefer the leopard cardi to the zebra one because the colour contrast is more subtle. And I’d say go with the DVF booties unless you absolutely have to have a waterproof shoe. I find most of my booties are fine in a light shower anyway. I think you’re right about the Free People top - it looks best under a topper. These kind of interesting under layers are really handy.

The DVF Dakota boots are so perfect for you! Definitely keep! I like the FP top- different, but I think it works well. The C&C cardi does look a bit large, and I think the overall print is a bit darker than I’m used to you wearing. I’d pass on the other pieces, since you have your doubts.

Well, my favorite thing is the lace-up boots, and they're not even NAS! I really love the idea of a grey/black pattern mix with the boots and one of these toppers, but neither cardi wows me.

The boots are my favorite thing here. I feel like the top and both toppers kind of swamp you. Free People runs super roomy, I know.

Bootcuts look good to me too , and I love the DVF boots on you . Not a fan of either cardigans ( too roomy for you ) or the FP top . The smocking is a bit juvenile to my eye .

I love the DVF booties on you! Are they a colorway that works with whatever you might wear with them? I ask because I think of you with a softer, more beige snake colorway.

No to the swacket and cardigan. You are asking here because you know they aren't quite right.

Not sure about the tunic; I want to see more openness around your neck.

No clue about the jeans. Are they black? If yes, ask yourself why you have never owned black jeans and if it is a sign you wouldn't wear these. Too much of a contrast with your other clothing? (I think of you in light and mid-tones.)

Janet, The DVF booties are keepers for sure. I wish they were waterproof, but I have learned that when I love something I wear it and I really love these. Instant high happiness factor! I truly appreciate your feedback on the boot-cuts! I like that I can wear the booties with them if I want....
I like the colors of the FP top but agree the style is maybe not quite right. I’m less bothered by the volume/size than the fussiness of the smocked neckline.

LaP, it seems like I should be able to find some other animal print cardigan to work with the snakeskin boots. I am not sure what is left in the sale? Animal print items sold out quickly!

Kathie, I am surprised that you find the print of the C&C cardigan darker than my usual. I wonder if it’s because I typically wear solids not prints? Or maybe because I have been building a blush capsule this summer so I have posted a lot of lighter tones to coordinate...

Missvee, The Dakotas will have to hide in my closet once it starts to snow, which means they will be transitional season boots for fall and early winter only.

Barbara Diane, both animal print toppers were ordered in size small. I usually run into this problem with tailored jackets, where the torso becomes too wide when the sleeves fit in length; it’s unusual with knits.

Thistle, I wear toppers with almost everything, I like them.

Donna F, I wonder the same about the DVF Dakota boots. I hope they will read as grey and bookend my hair even though they are a higher contrast black and white toned print than the Blondo Eliza’s.

The bootcut jeans are dark indigo. The boyfriends are black and I’m returning them! I have no clue how they wound up in my package...probably a mistake, but I thought I would try them on anyway. I do not like the way the black jeans look. I kind of like the boot cuts but my eye may need to adjust. Maybe I should look for a lighter pair, but I haven’t found any this long before. These are a perfect length.

LisaP, we must have crossed posted at the same time. Yes, I am laughing at myself because the FP top definitely looks juvenile! That’s the perfect word to describe why it’s wrong on me, and yet I’m certain it would look amazing on someone else. Note to self: NO BOHO/ROMANTIC Styles! They are wrong for me every time!

Isabel and Rachy, I wore the boots all afternoon! I couldn’t take them off. They looked great with my Rick Owens tunic and cropped pants! It’s 89F with a heat index of 104 or I would have marched out of the house and to run errands while wearing them too! Sandals and shorts were a better choice!

I love the boots on you. I like them with the boyfriend jeans, because the rolled jeans show off the booties so well, and I like the look on you. So maybe you need some boyfriend jeans, just not these particular ones. I like the bootcut jeans on you, too. And I like the zebra print sweater, though I agree it's not a good fit. So I'd keep looking. There are bound to be more options (non-sale) as more seasonal pieces arrive. I would also keep an eye out for a blouse that is more your style with the colors of this one, which I do like with the neutrals you're showing it with.

I tried on those Blondo booties, too, and the edge of the opening banged against my ankles. Not comfortable at all!

I really love the DVF booties on you and you love them too, so keep! Re the Blondos -- I think the non-sale bootie is nicer, myself, but this style happens to work on my foot, so it is the one I am aiming for if I can get it.

I like the bootcuts on you a lot, but I am biased. I also like the EFs, but if you don't like them, back they go!

I concur with others' thoughts on the cardigans and top. Although I do think the zebra has potential if you liked it. But if you don't -- onwards!

Suz, if the blue boyfriends fit, I might have considered them, but I really do not like the black color. They feel so heavy and dark! I am not sure I would wear them often enough to justify the purchase. I haven’t tried the non sale Blondo booties. Maybe they would be worth trying, although I really like the detail of laces and loops on the DVF. Somehow I can wear detail on my shoes that doesn’t work other places like my tops, etc.

Firecracker, I have a pair of lighter weight boyfriend jeans but the EF fit me better. I will keep looking because I like the idea of this outfit but the pieces are not quite right yet, except for the boots!

Staysfit, to answer your question, I think it’s the brightness of the white spots which make the gray background seem dark. And yes, I’m thinking of the blush and brighter blues you’ve been trying, which all have a feeling of lightness.

Kathie, thanks! I think maybe it’s the contrast level that seems more crisp or higher than usual, and is definitely not in keeping with my style. I aim for low to medium contrast.

I agree on returning the FP top, but I loved the color on you - unexpected when you’ve been doing more light colors, and I liked with the other patterns. Maybe something to look for in another style?

I love everything about picture 1. The cardigan looks amazing on you, and I think the size is right. The pattern mix with the yellow top is so unexpected and fun. As for the jeans, I like the look but you can achieve this look with another pair if you're not crazy about them. Personally I would keep the EFs as the quality is always good and they look cute on you with the DVF shoes. How do they feel?

As for shoes, I'm 100% about fit and comfort. Right now I'm only wearing my most comfortable shoes (Birkenstocks, clogs, sneakers) everything else is rotting in my closet. Sad.

I have not been around the forum much so this is the first time I'm seeing your new longer hair. I think it looks really pretty and is a keeper style.

Bummer about the Blondos - I still hope they work for me when they arrive, but if not, will look at the style Suz posted. I know the DVFs will not work for me because I don’t have your lovely slender ankles, but I can enjoy them on you.

I think the Paige jeans look great on you. I was wondering why you think they might be tight in the legs? When I tried them on in store, they clung to the back of my thighs and pinched flesh visibly in a way I didn’t appreciate, but they were pretty loose in the waist - not unusual for me. I really liked what they did for my bottom, though.

I tried the EFs and they weren’t for me, either, but I think Firecracker is right that you should seek out some different bf jeans. You can rock that look.

The lace up boots are amazing! I ordered the sale Blondos but they were cancelled. I also ordered the non sale Blondos and decided to keep them. I also ordered Dr Scholl booties in a snake pattern and they were very nice, but not waterproof.

JAileen, I had an item I was looking forward to canceled also. A Patagonia down jacket. I am stalking the site to see if it returns and if it does I will pounce! It’s so disappointing when things get canceled!! Its nice that there are some reasonable alternatives for the boots. The price of that jacket was great and for my purposes I wouldn’t want to pay more for the function it will serve so it’s worth the effort to revisit the sight whenever I go online.

Shevia, thanks! I am going to keep a pair of bootcuts. I don’t have any traditional bootcut jeans and I like the dark wash of these. I ordered a pair of boot cut Joes Jeans in a medium wash from the sale for comparison. They may have a wider flare at the bottom. I am waiting for them to arrive, I am only going to keep the pair I like best so I will probably post and ask for opinions. (I have a lot of jeans and am not looking to add more but I do want to keep my options fresh so testing a new silhouette is fine).

I’m not much of a fan of snakeskin, but those lace-ups are so good on you! Great that they are so comfy as well.

I’m a bit of an outlier on the C&C cardi. It is indeed a bit oversized, in a way that I think makes it look cozy & snuggly for the winter.

The zebra looks forced.

Agree that the FP top is incongruous on you.

I like the jeans but you don’t, so there’s that.

Runcarla, I just had it trimmed again after I took these pics but it looks about the same. I think I want it to grow into a bob but there are a lot of layers!
