France's New First Lady - Her Fashion at 64

I thought this was a good collection of images of France's new First Lady Bridgette Macron who is 64 and looks great. I don't know much more about her or him really but I think her fashion choices are worth looking at.

I don't want to come across as bitchy and I think she looks good, but I don't think that she looks much younger than her 64 years.
I know women that age who look that good.
Most of these photos were taken when she knew she'd be photographed and she was styled, made-up and had her hair done professionally.
And that photo that points out all the things that she may, or not, have had done really annoys me.

Much younger women are known to have had dental work, botox etc without having people pointing all that out in a "news" article.

Are there photos pointing to everything Melania and Ivanka Trump have had tweaked?

I think she looks exactly her age (lots of sun damage too) - and my god isn't the Daily News the worst/can't-look-away tabloid? Lol. She does look significantly older than her husband, which means nothing , and she also has great style. Good for her!

Minnie - I know what you mean about the content of the article and the speculation was ridiculous. But it came from another news link and the content as I mentioned wasn't my point - it was a good collection of images of her outfits which I enjoyed, probably because a fair number of them were casual.

texstyle, yes I agree she dresses casual and some outfits are quite "youthful".
I do like that.
Except that leather mini-skirt, which I find a tad too short to wear with bare legs.

I agree that she looks her age (and there isn't a damned thing wrong with that, she looks lovely). However, I also agree that in spite of the garbage that the article spewed, it DID have a good collection of pics of her style. And I do like her style.

I don't find the DailyMail's marked-up photo with speculation points in especially good taste. But DailyMail's gonna DailyMail, whatcha gonna do?

Energy -wise, this age pairing is likely far more compatible over longer time than more commonly practiced couplings are.

I like the way she plays with textures and neutrals. A subdued and chic style. I'm not sure I'd call it French chic, though. French chic authors are always harping on how "natural" is better, and her bleachy hair, dark tan, and obvious eye liner move her a little away from that category. But today's style is all about individualism so it's interesting to see a French role model embracing it, too.

Her structured jackets are marvelous, but they seem to give her a "short-necked effect" in some of the photographs. Maybe it's the combination of the big bob and the heavily structured shoulders.

For me, she looks super happy and confident. i like that she wears clothes that seem quite normal albeit designer labels. I haven't seen that many presidents wives in jeans for example. I wondered if she was the same age as Anna Wintour.

I had no idea there was such an age gap. Actually, I never thought about Macron having a wife or not, lol. I think - I think it's not quite that she doesn't look her age, but that her style is rather American. She's an American 64. And we suffer greatly from neotony, us Americans. I mean, how old am I and I'm like turning 'Forever 21' for maybe the 20th year now? Lol. I mean, I use the filler *like*, lol...

On the other hand, or in keeping, I have no problems with her style. I find it quite satisfactory for a First Lady.

Rachy, it's funny, I thought her style seemed quite Parisian -- the heels with jeans, the lack of pattern, the leather pants, the sophisticated coats, etc. But I could be wrong. Anyway, I think she has great style, whatever it is. Really chic.

I like her style and I like her smile. I don't think it matters one bit whether she looks older or younger than her age--who on earth is the reference? Every age has a range of looks, and I think she looks beautiful (even though the deep tan isn't my cup o tea in general). Good luck to both her and her husband in the coming months/years.

She looks like energy personified, which is always stylish. Yes Macron is the trophy husband, hee hee. Who cares if she looks younger or older or just her age - she looks like she knows her style and herself perfectly.
