Foundation Delimma

Hello Everyone and Happy Fourth of July!
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this product https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007.....#038;psc=1
I struggle to find a foundation or tint that covers well without drying, caking, or emphasizing flaws. A friend of mine recommended 'It' foundation so I'm considering it as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried IT foundation. It covered well and looked great, but made my face break out.

I love mineral makeup but have not found the perfect match to my skin tone. Try Jane Iredale, which is tops in my opinion. I used it for years. Great for sensitive skin.

I presently use Laura Gellar baked foundation, and really like it, especially with the spackle primer underneath. It's buildable and covers better while still looking natural.

One thing to remember: If you choose to wear Jane Iredale mineral powder foundation, you need to apply moisturizer first. The powder won't adhere if you don't. Using the setting spray afterwards is nice if you want the most natural look.

With Laura Gellar, I apply pure aloe Vera gel over my Rx topical meds, then spackle, and then the powder. I like to finish with the Jane Iredale setting spray.

I use the Jane Iredale pressed mineral foundation as well and really like it. I don't have a lot of blemishes, so I don't know how the formula would cover them, but I do not find it drying at all, and the finish is very nice if you take your time to buff the powder in and then finish with downward strokes. I use the Jane Iredale PomMist as a setting spray.

Do you use a primer? If you are having problems with emphasizing flaws, using a primer might be helpful.

You might also want to check out Lisa Eldridge's website (http://www.lisaeldridge.com). I'm pretty sure she has some videos on foundation. She is good about recommending brands and types of foundations for certain types of skin, so you might find some useful info there.

I'm switching back to Jane Iredale foundation, but this time with the PurePressed foundation instead of the Amazing Base loose foundation. The reason is because I don't think the Laura Gellar, as fantastic as it is, does the best job of toning down my pink face. The loose foundation, however, looks great when first applied but then darkens as the day goes on. I think the PurePressed will be a little lighter. The JI rep told me that the 2 formulas are the same color, but that the way the PurePressed foundation reflects light makes it appear lighter. Whatever, right? They're sending me a free sample to try. It's the Warm Silk, which is a warm yellow-based color that seems to work best for me. I don't think the Laura Gellar foundation is warm enough.

I love the Laura Gellar baked blush, though, and will more than likely continue to use it unless for some unforeseen reason it doesn't apply well over the Jane Iredale foundation.

I used to use BE mineral foundation but switched to the pressed foundation by IT Cosmetics. I use the Celebration Foundation Illumination. It covers a multitude of sins. But it needs to be blended really well. I think it works best on normal to oily skin. It can still be a little messy but not nearly as bad as the loose powders. I order mine from QVC because if .you hate it you can send it back and get a refund. Ulta also carries the IT line but I don't know if you can return the opened product.

The pressed foundation is definitely less messy. I don't mind the loose foundation too much, but it's a royal pain to travel with it. I have to Scotch tape the holes so nothing spills out.

I'm with Angie, I love Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I wear the regular tinted moisturizer in Nude and add a drop of the illuminating to it. My alternative foundation (because you've got to have OPTIONS, right?) is Bare Minerals original over Smashbox primer.
