Found my Summery Red Flats! - YouLookFab Forum

On my shopping list since 2019.

All good things come to those who wait, AND when you're NOT looking for them!!! These found me while doing errands with Sam and Jo at U-Village - (Seattleites will know ).

This is the second season that Madewell has come through for me with great Summery shoes. Unexpected!

Great sturdy flats with hard supportive soles that feel like you're not too close to the ground. Super soft leather. They work for my flat, low volume feet. Dainty and narrow, and I added an insole for extra cushioning.

On trend: Dressy Mary Jane Flats! Comes in neutrals.

I have a 10 year old Boden belt that is a perfect match.

I will wear them with everything! Dresses, and also all sorts of pants and white jeans.

I had a battle with my Mum for my first pair of school shoes - I wanted red patent Mary Janes - she wanted brown leather. I said (apparently) that she could buy the brown leather but I just would not wear them. I walked out with the red.

Madewell has been knocking it out of the park with shoes this year. I stumbled over their Tegen fisherman sandal just the other day, after fruitlessly ordering and returning four pairs when they were trending a few years ago. I ordered the dark coffee color sandal and it arrived today—only in black! First time I've ever had that happen. Even though they were too big, I really liked how they looked on my foot. I sent the black ones back and reordered in the dark brown a half size smaller. I'm sure hoping they will work, since I've always loved the fisherman style, ever since having a pair gifted to me in the early 90s.

Well if those aren't just perfect. If I were in the market for ballet flats, I would seriously consider the cream pair with silver-toned studs. They seem to call out at me. But didn't I just say "No Mary Janes this time around" on a post of yours, Angie? Honestly, I doubt I would wear them. The flats I have don't get very much wear (I'm not counting sneakers or oxfords).
