Joy--I remember hearing about snow persisting pretty late this year in some parts of the country. We didn't get any, which was kind of a welcome change from the last couple of winters where we've had snow and ice bad enough to shut down a lot of infrastructure. I enjoy that kind of weather, but we really can't handle it in the South. I hope you enjoy your long jeans and boots/booties when you finally get to!
Janet--Ooooh, I love that animal print lapel jacket and both pairs of boots. I hope to see some outfit posts from you with those in the future!
JAileen--I love the skull sweater! I got a long-sleeved tee from Target with a ribcage and arm bones on it. It's time to get spooky. The polar bear sweater is cute, too. I love me some LL Bean.
Kate--The curry and chestnut pants sound beautiful, as does the scarf. I love fall colors so much. And now I want curry.
bonnie--I'm so envious; that sounds like my ideal weather! My best friend lived in AZ for a few months, working in the Grand Canyon, but she's a summer lover who was there in the winter when it was snowy.
FashIntern--A hot fall challenge sounds like a great idea! I haven't framed it that way, but I've been trying to find cool ways to wear some of my fall pieces in the heat. As a 90s fan, my go-to has been wearing loose fitting jeans rolled at the ankle, tees, a flannel shirt tied around my waist, and either sneakers or sandals. It works really well because then I have something to throw on if it's cold indoors. Those boots you posted are lovely--I'm glad you finally got to wear them!
Cardiff girl--Too true about not being happy with what we have--I briefly missed the hot summers I'm used to when I lived in Maine for a year. Very briefly. I'm likely to move to a different climate in several months (depending on where I'm accepted for graduate school) and I'm sure there will be something about the weather that makes me miss home.
suntiger--Ha! I hope you've been enjoying the summer and cute dresses, then. I enjoy hiking, too, but not when it's hot--I'm all about that autumn, early winter, and early-mid spring hiking. To each their own.
Preppy Pear--Those pieces are all great! I bought similar booties, and I'm excited to wear them, too.
nemosmom--Ah, yes, hoodies! I'm looking forward to those, too. And I offer my sympathies about having to paint your toenails.
