I was so excited to see all those this morning. I love wide legs even though they probably aren't the best idea for me. I am drooling after a few of the wool trousers they featured, and I think I'll wear my wide-leg Alice+Olivia trousers some day this week.

Could a petite person in a cold climate wear this? I would love to try this out - it's the inverse of my usual "volume on top, fitted on bottom" formula, and I used to wear it a lot more when my upper body was thinner, like tight tees and skater pants.

I'm 5'4" with very short legs and a small frame, and I wear them. I always get a lot of compliments on them.

The cover image of the first Sartorialist book is a woman in stunning wide-leg pants and I believe she's around 5'3".

I think a true petite would do better than me, with my short legs and long torso. I think I wear it best with higher waists, though the A+O trousers I have are low rise (but amazing otherwise).

I think wide-legged trousers have a classic alternative vibe to them and I am happy to see them as a fringe trend every few years.

Interesting that many of those looks are cropped! Or at least, not what some of us would consider PPL here. My eye finds it hard to get used to cropped wide leg pants.
