Fit feedback, Caslon crop linen joggers

Thanks for the terrific shopping recommendations of late, Angie! I pounced on the Caslon linen crops you suggested last week. They arrived quickly and the linen is beautiful in brown. Alas, returning because fit isn't great. I'm a curvy hourglass and found them snug around upper thigh but voluminous around stomach and waist.

Surprisingly, these jogger-style pants by Gramicci fit me like a glove. (Surprising because the cut overall appears much slimmer and the fabric less flowing.) They are more gear-like but similar in concept to the Caslon crops.

I wish I had more options style-wise but fit is very often the deciding factor for me with pants. If something fits, I buy and wear.

I had to return two pairs of pants yesterday because of excess fabric around the waist (gathered waist/drawstring). It is a very unattractive look on me and brings out insecurities. I don't know if this will help, but TexStyle commented on my thread and offered several alternatives that I might consider. Perhaps her comments might be helpful to you?

Green jeans and Sterling, I wonder if you're tying them too high on the waist - and/or need to size up. They need to slouch a little and drop to the hips. They have worked well on my curvier clients.

Another option, if you're not a fan of gathered elastic waists, is to look for wide jersey waists (like yoga pants) on linen pants. For example, not joggers, but they are ruched at the bottom: Title Nine Fresh Linen Pant
