First ModCloth Purchase... ish excited

Just made my very first order @ ModCloth; I've been staring at their uber pretty dresses for too long! Two of my favourite styles came back 'in stock'...

I gotta stay away from the candy so I can fit into them when they come. *chomp chomp* I have a weakness for chocolate covered almonds!

Has anyone had any experience with their shipping/dresses? All the forum search things I get are a bit old!

PS: I found #3 - a fossil drawstring bag of ubercuteness at my local Winners for only $70; but I put it back. I was good. See?

Shipping is fast, dresses run small but that shouldn't be an issue for you! I just got two shirts from them. Can't wait to see!

Those dresses, they would not work for me but oh wow, do I love them and can't wait to see you wear them. They're kind of reminding me of Kate Spade, but probably at about $400 less Really, so pretty!

The second one is nice and classic to go with many different styling outfit choices, and the first is so fun and flirty... combining two of my favorite prints, dots and stripes - how can you go wrong with BOTH of them on the dress??

@ Alaskagirl - I hope that won't be an issue for my gut. *pokes* Unfortunately, shipping may be slow - I went with the cheaper shipping option for Canadian users (Around $9).

@ Mochi - I like the $400 less part :p

@ Bronnierose - Oh; I will, as long as my schedule allows. They try to monopolize our sunlight hours. Grr!

@ alamode - I also love dots! I have a ton of dots in my closet - it's like I have the fashion pox!

I actually have to hold myself back from purchasing yet another polka dotted dress. Not that I mind, it's my husband that notices and says... don't you have one JUST like it? even if they're different colors lol... I'm trying to branch out, but I think there will always be a soft spot in my heart for dots/spots and stripes : )

Cute dresses, especially the polka dot one! I found Modcloth shipping and returns really quick and easy, no hassles there. The clothes do generally run on the small size (like juniors' sizing, mostly) and I found the dresses to be generally very short - they do list measurements for most items on the website, which is something I love about them, so if you read the measurements carefully you should not be too surprised. And the customer reviews tend to be pretty helpful.

One thing that annoys me slightly about Modcloth is that they'll sometimes sell various brands at a markup and fail to mention the actual brand in the product description online. I've recognized a couple of Tulle pieces on the Modcloth website being sold for more than Tulle itself charges, for example. On the other hand, they do also carry some smaller and indie brands that are hard to find elsewhere.

Thanks Diana, I thought some pieces of household items looked familiar (other brand); and I got them at Chapters/Indigo for about 1/4 of the price.

I am a bit concerned about the length, but I guess that we shall have to see - I tried to pick the ones where people of my height said that the length was not a problem for them:)
