I wanted to add - this is a great topic and it is so fun reading everyone's memories!

Oh great great thread. I've enjoyed the read.

For myself growing up we did not have the money for extras. The girls in H.S. would walk around in leather trench coats and coach bags. Everyone would get their leather from a highend leather store called Wilson's.

I was in a work study in my Senior year I H.S. and it took me 4 paychecks to save up for 2 of the most beautiful leather coats. I was envious and a bit jealous. I wanted to be part of the "haves".

I bought the leather coat and jacket wore them a few times and gave them away. Hahaha no hard feelings. I realized that the grass is not always greener. Things don't make you happy or change a lifestyle.
