Finishing with orange?

DD passed on this scarf and I was dying to try it even though I never wear orange. Never. It is a coral-y orange with white and dark purple spots, and I have just the pair of dark purple skinnies to try it with!

I kept the base outfit simple, purple skinnies and black top, pic 3.

1. Does it work? Don't hold back, the scarf was free!

2. Which is better, the black moto in pic 1 or the brown in pic 2?

Sure the orange scarf works! I like it with both jackets, but there's less of a "halloween" effect with the brown jacket.

Agree with Amy on the brown jacket. I also think the brown looks richer with your dark purple skinnies. That scarf is such a lovely color!

Lovely looking scarf. I have come to the conclusion that orange (and yellow - sorry Angie) and colours that completely polarise people.

Prefer with the brown moto, but because it isn't solid, don't really see it as Halloween-y.

I vote for the black jacket. I like the contrast and the scarf softens the look of the moto too. Besides you already have the purple jeans for tonality.

I like 2 & 3 best. The scarf is lovely. I adore orange and purple together and I think that dark brown would work better with this palette than black (ergo my preference for #2) #3 works perfectly. I like how the belt gives #3 that lift into something special.
#1 with the scarf doesn't work for me because the black seems too "hard" with the design of the scarf. The brown jacket in #2 works better with the scarf but even then I'd prefer to see a brown, deep red, plum or purple top under the jacket.

DV, I have a brown top on order, so I'll try that! Don't know why I don't have deep red or plum, need to keep my eye out!
