Finds and Outfit Generator

I wish I had my wardrobe in Finds in order to be able to play with the outfit generator, but I dread the time-consuming job of loading my pieces. Suddenly I had an idea (maybe some fabbers have already done this): I looked in the collections for pieces similar to the ones I have and started to load some. The outfit generator has already generated a few combinations that hadn't occurred to me yet. I am having a lot of fun!

At first I did this, found items similar to what I had and added them to Finds, making notes as to what I really had. I have since tried to add actual photos of things in my wardrobe. The outfit generator is such fun and a great tool.

Finds is a wonderful tool, and fun to play with. It can seem a daunting task, but aim for 10 items a day, and eventually you’ll have the job done!

I use screen shots to make custom finds. Like you, I have used images of items that are ‘close enough’. Especially with thrifted items, where the exact thing isn’t available at retail.

I put everything in Finds, but the outfit generator isn't visible on the phone, so I rarely look at it.
I don't use my computer for YLF except to add Finds occasionally.

This is how I use it too - I like that there's the option to choose items from all your Finds and/ or your Wardrobe specifically.

ROG is the best fun! I fave anything I like that I see here and I feel the gist comes through even tho I haven’t documented my own wardrobe in any way…

@Suntiger - yes, the OG sometimes proposes seasonally confused outfits. But in this outrageously warm December - yesterday we had 9 deg C, whereas at this time of the year we should be below zero - it inspired me to take out my Spring cotton pants. Good idea since i have remained with only 3 pairs of Autumn/Winter pants!

Chuckling at the idea of cotton trousers in 9C weather - am all bundled up in merino here in HK, where it's 14C... Someone should revoke my British card, already

Back on topic though, I think the OG can still be useful despite the seasonal confusion - you can experiment with similar colours or silhouettes as the inspo at least. I also like that it pulls from other Finds if you don't have enough in your YLF Wardrobe for it to pull from - *guilty as charged*
