Fab or Mom Shoes?

My winter shoe wardrobe needs desperate updating. I love sandals and own too many for my climate. However, looking through my fall/winter shoes and booties, I am amazed at how many frumpy shoes I really do have.

I am looking for exquisitely comfortable, low heeled, fab shoes. I know, a unicorn with a pot of gold under a rainbow would probably be easier to find!

Wouldn't mind finding some pewter or other metallic bootie, but so far, nothing has worked.

I think they are fine, Thistle. I don't think they are super fashion forward, but they certainly aren't frumpy to my eye. It would all depend on what you pair them with. As long as you keep the rest stylish (which I know you would), then they'll look fine. And I have to add the disclaimer that it all depends on how they look on the foot. I've been ambushed before by stealth frump.

I think they are cute but a bit off in shape somehow. Now I want to know if my purple oxfords are frumpy if these are voted down.

I don't have the high fashion sense of Annagybe, or the other ladies, but I had those shoes in the brown/bronze color and while I thought they were pretty cute for an oxford, they didn't offer much support/comfort, so I sadly returned them to Nordies. For that price (high for me) they have to be at least a 8 in comfort, and these weren't. However, I have really fussy duck feet, so keep that in mind. What color were you thinking of getting?
ETA, DROOLING over the luxe gold ones she posted, but I need a wide shoe and lower cost

I see these going two ways. Either you can wear some cute tuxedo pants, or crops and be very trendy with them...or you can wear them with khaki pants and something totally plain and make them look like you snagged the wrong pair from the closet this morning. I personally wouldn't have the energy to put into making them fab every time.

Maybe something more like this, a little taller than a penny loafer would be easier to style?

I also have some cute oxford booties that I've worn with dresses and skirts, but also slacks. (I have these in two colors!)

I like comfy shoes also, and tend to stick with certain brands that I can wear a taller heel with because the shoes are made more comfortable.

Hmm, I'm going to vote nay. They somehow remind me of jazz or tap shoes. I feel like they are neither delicate enough to be the slippery type of retro oxford nor assertive enough to be the menswear-inspired type. (ETA and not cute/weird enough to be the funky chunky sort of style like some fluevogs) Does that make any sense at all?

Not an oxford, but do you like these? I tried them and was sad they did not fit me (instep/heel was too deep for my flat feet and they wouldn't stay on so they'd probably fit someone with a normal foot). They were pretty comfy.

I hope you can get the AGL ones, they are *gorjus*!! I share your pain, needing a low heel SO many are beautiful, but the heel is too much for my problem feet I have to admit to a strong poison eye for any kind of loafer styles, but that's just me. Good luck in your search!

BAD, BAD Diana! Lol, I love Fidji shoes.... LO61 is breathtaking.... I have one pair that I can rarely wear, but still seems better made than the Munro's (for me)

I can easily get the "stealth frump" in my shoe wardrobe too as I need mine to be supportive. Like some others said - I think you could get away with these with the right outfit. But I'm in love with some of these that Anna And Diana posted. Off to look....

Not to enable, or anything But I think they'd fit like a glove. I have never been disappointed in the quality or comfort of that brand, even if they didn't fit my freaky ass feet. Another good brand to look at is Naya....

I'm not really fashion forward (I wear clogs!) but I prefer the two that Annagybe linked to over yours. They look marginally blah to me. Sorry.
