So much great info here! I have never done much to my brows other than slight tweezing but now as my hair grays the outer edges of my brows are also graying and disappearing. I use a powder in a pretty dark shade that matches my brows that still show and think it works pretty well. But I am really tempted to try the mustache dye - makes me nervous though, nowhere to hide if they turn out too dark or too big

This reminds me of a friend's comment when I started to go gray the she hopes I don't color my brows dark because she hates that look. Uh, what if I still have half dark brows? I will happily ignore her and keep my brows.

Just chiming back in to say I picked up DonnaF's recommended Revlon color stay brow creator yesterday - on sale at the drugstore woohoo. Really like this product! The pencil is very much like the Anastasia, and then there's a little sponge tip for the powder and the spoolie. I got the medium brown and it's a good match for my darker hair. It even survived some pool splashes. Thanks for the reco Donna and worth a try for anyone looking to experiment.

I have light blonde hair naturally turning lighter and my eyebrows are not very heavy so I have learned to rely on brow pencil to fill them in. I have the most trouble finding the light blonde color but I have found one I think based on an older Angie rec - Laura Mercier brow pencil in blonde. I use a big magnification mirror and just basically fill in a little around the natural shape and esp towards the nose where my natural brows seem a little wider apart than I think they should be (maybe due to plucking at some point) and at the edges towards the ears as many have mentioned. I sometimes trim my eyebrows just a little because they do grow longer than I prefer. Not thicker than I prefer, just longer.

I've also used castor oil (look it up) on/off and it does seem to help stimulate growth. Much cheaper than a special serum too.

It's fascinating to hear so many of us think brows are important. I learned that from my mother actually... who had snow white hair and made sure to subtly tint her brows. I feel that I'm not dressed if I don't have earrings on and have not groomed my brows. As my brown hair has gone gray my brows have more and more blonde hairs and now look pale and spotty - not giving me the structure we're all talking about. The shape is fine but I pluck or trim those extremely long curly hairs that have started coming in. I use brow powder from Eyebrowz to fill in color. They have several brow grooming products that I like and lots of information on shaping eyebrows. I sometimes use their gel to tame the errant hairs. Eyebrowz is a Washington state-based company and I believe started by a professional makeup artist.

There are many problems associated with cosmetics and everything related to them. Many companies use toxic substances or do things that harm the ecosystem. Then influential people promote these products without doing any research, and that's sad, too. Let's talk about eyelashes, for example. I used to use mascara that contained many toxic ingredients, and I managed to damage my skin. Now I'm using some Retro Anime Aesthetic products, and the problems are gone. Because of that incident, I am very careful about what gets on my skin.
