A pair of navy blue Form sandals from Everlane (the slides, not the criss-cross ones) arrived on my doorstep today. On the basis of my first try-on, I'm pretty psyched. For one thing, they fit. My feet are wide in the front and narrow in the back, and these feel made for me. My only complaint would be that my pinkie toes is completely hidden, but the length overall is perfect, it's just that the strap is quite wide. If I had a high instep, the strap might bother me, but it doesn't feel too tight or too loose on me.

If, like me, you dislike the prominent arch and toe-grip in Birks, these may be a good alternative -- the contouring is much more minimal. Some people have complained that the leather footbed gets sweatier than suede, but I don't think this will be a concern for me. (My feet never sweat; on the contrary, they're usually bone-dry despite thorough moisturizing.)

I'd fully anticipated having to send these right back, so the perfect fit -- for under $100 no less -- is a pleasant surprise. I may well keep them. And I LOVE that they're monochrome!

Word on the street is that the cross strap version runs narrower, so those with lower volume feet might want to try those instead.

I ordered my usual size and would say they're TTS (fwiw, I'm almost always a 9, sometimes an 8.5 for sandals, and a 39 in Birkenstocks).

Can't add the Find right now, but here's a link for the time being: http://www.everlane.com/produc.....andal-navy
