Ruth, Just missed your last post! I was thinking about using the shoes just for the photos, but would be kind of a hassle to then change, but that's probably the best solution. I'm going to continue to look for shoes, maybe I'll get lucky!

Another vote for the black shoes in #1. I think they look edgy with the dress.

Love the red dress--a nice alternative to black. I wonder if maybe the back view would be improved by shortening the straps. It looks like some of the wrinkling in back could be excess fabric that could be taken up very easily. Even a fraction of an inch could make a difference.

I've always wanted to cruise the Western Mediterranean. Sounds like it will be a great trip.

I love that first dress, and think the others are fab too, minus #4 (just not quite up to par with the others).

Have you thought about some closed-toe or peep-toe shoes for evening? Might be easier on your bunion and very elegant.

Thanks, Jonesy for your honest feedback. The glitter gold dress should probably just go to the donate pile. I hadn't thought about a peep toe, that might be a good option, if only I can find something under 2 inches. Wish me luck.

I just thought of something else. I don't know what cruise line you're sailing with, but Carnival keeps its ships on the cold side. With this in mind, the suggestion of closed-toe shoes is a good one. Also a wrap for the dress. Hope this helps.

I love #1 with the black shoes! I prefer that style of shoes, that's why.

I like all of the dresses on you, especially the long black and short black dresses. I like the red dress and think the suggestion to shorten the straps is a good one, to lift the bust line a bit.

Carole, you look gorgeous and sexy and sophisticated in all of these, but count me in as one who is in LOVE with #1 and the gold sandals. It's perfect. I also like the short black dress a lot. The red is fun and if you have room to bring it also, why not do so? Esp. with the lifted straps; you will probably be more comfortable in it that way.
