Oh dear. I can't think of a single fashion don't that I make sure I never, ever commit (or have committed in the past)..... I really must lift my game! This thread is certainly food for thought!

<Katiepea whispers gently to Angie>

"It's OK Angie, really, truly. Here, have another cup of tea. Just think of me as making baby steps. One incy wincy, baby step at a time...."

I don't ever wear leggings as pants and gear is only for exercising.

I believe that this was the first summer for me that flip flops were only for poolside! Yay!

my bra and knickers always match...and I never leave the house without makeup or at least mascara. Never brush my hair though...its that kind of straight hair.

Well I'd best make up for the sins I do commit!!

* NEVER wear leggings as pants except to sleep
* Do not own any form of track/sweat suit - I do have some fleece hoodies that are worn at home only or on the beach
* I only ever wear my "good" bra's - the ones as a result of a fitting.
* my joggers are only worn when exercising or attending sports days at school
* despite it being the "norm", I NEVER wear boxy T's and short shorts to do the school run! (I mow the lawn in boxy t's and that's the only time they see the light of day!)
* I've become a ruthless closet editor!! I've ditched more stuff this year than I have bought and now have less clothes then pre-ylf!

How is that for a start? Does it go close to making amends for the sins I do commit?

Hope you are recovering well Angie LOL

-flip-flops are for pedicures or the pool
-workout clothes are for working out
-my t-shirt collection is for pajama tops now
-PPL on all my pants even if it means my tailor sends her kid to college thanks to my business

It's not as much fun "getting away" with wearing gear to a restaurant or flip flops as your main item of summer footwear after a while. Sometimes it feels like it might be when you're getting ready to leave the house, but then you feel underdressed and well, sort of embarrassed once you're out there. At least this is my current experience. Maybe this happens in year #3 on YLF!

I never swear (but will use stars in my post if very annoyed ****) and I never keep clothes past their sell by date.

I NEVER wear athletic shoes except when working out on my elliptical.
I NEVER wear sweats. EVER.
I NEVER wear sandals without perfectly pedicured feet.
I NEVER wear anything that doesn't make me gloriously happy.
I NEVER forget to wear sunblock on my face and throat.
I NEVER forget my jewelry - eternity wedding band, necklace, bracelet, earrings, watch.

I only wear my hoodie around the house or when working out. If I have to run errands I wear a colorful scarf or grab a military or corduroy jacket instead. This is a big step up from when my hoodie would go absolutely everywhere (other than work). The cuffs used to get dirty and worn out. A year ago I didn't even own a jacket!

I never leave the house without proper skincare regimen (including sunscreen) and 5-minute makeup routine.

I never leave the house with wet hair.

I never wear flip-flops, except to turn off water in the yard after dark!

I don't own Uggs.

I never wear capris or short shorts.

I never leave the house in sweats or loungewear.

Hey, I'm starting to feel pretty good about myself! Though I didn't actually catalog all my sins in the other thread!

I always make sure that all of my body parts (head, arms, legs, belly, butt) are properly attached before I leave the house. No leaving body parts at home anymore!

Late to the thread, but thanks for all of the funny and therapeutic posts. Hopefully Angie has recovered without permanent scarring and we can continue to do her proud.

No uggs, no crocs, no sweatpants.

I never leave the house without at least one accessory on my body and a pretty bag.
I always wear perfume.
Never wear t-shirts or athletic sneakers
Never violate PPL
Don't own a single maxi dress and never plan to
Never have an ill-fitting bra in my home, let alone on my body
Never wear flipflops anywhere
Never stop loving fashion

Hope that helps! What thread brought this internvention on, anyway?

Sihaya, your post sounds like the perfect dress code policy for YLF. Of course we would need bouncers to enforce this law.

Michelle, there was a thread where we were posting the fashion "don'ts" that we still do. It made Angie sad and she had to go lie down, so it seemed like the least we could do was revive her with all of our fashion do's:)

I had a meeting for church at someone's house on Sunday and she specifically told me to "Wear sweats", meaning it was going to be a really casual, laid back gathering. It took me a second to realize, hey, aside from an old college sweatshirt, I don't even OWN sweats.

Medusa, you crack me up !! I often leave my brain, or at least part of it at home....but it isn't an appendage !
I will NEVER ( I hope ) go to the bus stop in my pajamas or without brushing my teeth. ( Yes, that happens quite often here )

Without brushing your teeth? *passes out next to Angie*

Out of the gym, I never wear gear shoes, nor cons (in fact I bought my first flats this year.. eh eh all my shoes have heels);
Never wear t-shirts;
Never leave the house without make up;
Never wear capris or shorts or bermudas;

Quick, SMELLING SALTS for Michelle ...or Colgate minty fresh toothpaste !

Seriously, Michelle, I NEVER leave home without my signature scent, Colgate toothpaste :0

BTW - how are you doing ?
