I was at my local Nordstrom this morning at 8 am when they opened the doors, and my wonderful salesperson had come in early and already put the things I wanted to try in a dressing room for me! Amazing service as always from Nordstrom!
There were so many nice things I don't even know where to start, but here are a few things I really liked- I wish I could keep them all!
Here's what I got:
DVF lace appliqué sweater & lace skirt- these are beautiful together, and will both mix and match with lots of other things.
St. John denim leggings- these are way better on than they look in the picture, and are not as tight as leggings at all. More like a cigarette pant with a nice slim fit. I'll be wearing these all the time! They're a little dressier than jeans, but still casual- just what I wanted.
Veda leather jacket- I'm trying to wear less black, but I couldn't resist this jacket. It's sleek and not too tough looking, soft, but structured. I will wear it open, not all fastened up like this picture.
Vince Camuto dress- rather body-con on it's own. Looks great with the leather jacket. I may return this because I have a similar dress, but in blue tones. I'm wanting to add some brown shades to my wardrobe, though...
Rag & Bone knit biker jacket- LOVE this jacket! So flattering and comfortable! It feels like a sweatshirt, but more polished and fun.
Rag & Bone suede booties- very cute and comfortable, but SIZE UP- they run small. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and needed a 41 in these.
I'm going to decide between these and the VInce Yarmon Chelsea booties that my store didn't have so I had to order.
Current Elliot foiled sweatshirt and Halogen foiled sweatshirt- I bought both of these, and probably will only keep one. The Current Elliot one is thinner and drapier, and I'd love to wear it right now with my white jeans. The Halogen one is stiffer, but would be warmer for winter. I sized up to get more of an oversized look.
Tried and liked, but didn't buy:
Truth and Pride navy moto- gorgeous jacket, but I preferred the lighter weight and sleeker Veda one.
Vince drape neck leather jacket- I loved this one and was going to buy it until I tried the Veda one. Very soft and drapey, but a downside is that it has no front closure. It's really more of a leather cardigan than a jacket.
DVF blouse- gorgeous blouse, just not what I'm needing.
Laundry by Shelli Segal tweed coat- I loved this, but it's sort of a "neither here nor there" piece. Not really warm enough for outerwear- doesn't exactly close in front, but not really just a blazer, either, so in the end I couldn't justify it.
I'll try to post some K/R (or K/K !!) pictures later.
Hope this is helpful- happy shopping!
