Thanks everyone, for chiming in!
Angie, I am delighted to wear the crown of Queen DVN Inspiration :). I am very envious of your trip to his flagship store with Inge! Swoon! I look forward to seeing you wear one of these tops with your beautiful collection of skirts.
Janet, that black dress is particularly lovely, isn't it?
Nikki, he is known for his color and pattern combinations, and he uses greens a lot! He has a gorgeous garden and draws inspiration from it a lot (not that I know the man personally :), I've just watched a documentary about him).
Chewy, yes, his stuff is always so interesting!
FashIntern, he definitely favors a looser, more relaxed silhouette most of the time, and this has been consistent for all of the years he's been designing, I would say. It's interesting to me how he doesn't really follow the trends, but sets his own course. He's pretty original, but his clothes are wearable at the same time.
Lisa, yes, the styling is really interesting! Kind of elevates the looks even further. I agree about the trickiness of the padded shoulder look--certainly not for everyone!
Brooklyn, I agree--his silhouettes and proportions are usually so on point!
Suz, yes, those skirt/dresses looks are gorgeous, aren't they? It's intriguing how some of the pairings with the padded shoulder tops are more romantic and "soft" while others are more edgy. Really different looks, but still cohesive as a collection.
Shevia, YES! His eye for color and pattern mixing and proportion is always delightful! Just dreamy...Have you stumbled across any of his clothes while thrifting? I have picked up some pieces via TheRealReal, and they make me very happy.
Firecracker, it's wild to see the trickle down, isn't it?
Joy, yes, lots of beauty in this collection! I totally agree that Angie would rock this look :).
