Today it will be 93 (34C). Not as hot as it gets here by a long chalk, but still warm. When I can't wear that third piece, I am learning to add interest to outfits by means of extra details on the pieces I do wear, such as the tipping on my blouse and a two-toned shoe (Angie pick last year, it's a slingback). Solids come much more naturally to me but I'm learning that judicious pattern use can be very effective! Do you like patterns or solids? Belts also become more important to a pulled-together appearance. Does this one work? I got it for the gold toned buckle and beading, but the belt is a huge shot of silver in what's meant to be a gold-accented outfit! Finally a tip: when you want to anchor a skinny belt onto a skirt, use a safety pin for a belt loop! Pinned from the inside of course. I learned this from the Clothed Much blog. Thanks for reading and looking!
