Shannon I loved reading this and couldn't agree more. Instead of looking at my body as something to disguise or something that has to be fixed, I see it as something to have fun dressing. A quiet but revolutionary thought!

You are beautiful inside & out Shannon

Shannon, your style is inspiring to me, as is this sentiment. I really need to learn this lesson myself.

Shannon, your style always inspires me! I always look forward to your outfits because you just have such a unique and defined style. Also, you are, in a way, my comfort-loving style sister and your EF outfits (and rave reviews) are what turned me into trying the brand out (and loving the aesthetic).

And Angie, seriously you have the BEST style blog/style forum ever. Very body positive and lifestyle-friendly. I spend more time here than any social media these days - seriously! Angie, you have cultivated an environment of creativity, compassion and empowerment!

I've been having low self-esteem problems a few months ago. I'm a yo-yo dieter and pretty much tried everything! However, this year I decided to do things differently: I made an effort to become more active in YLF, shared my outfits in an attempt to dress better (for my current body), and worked on minimizing my wardrobe. I must say, that Angie's articles and everyone's encouragement helped in raising my spirits and help hone in on my style!

Thanks everyone!

I couldn't agree more. Thank you for articulating this.

I can sooooooo relate to everything you've said
For me it's always been "when I lose weight" not any more, I'm enjoying clothes NOW

You are super stylish, TS! I always check out your WIW if I am about. There is no one body shape or size that owns style!

Happy dance! Shannon, you are always an inspiration for me! Not only style-wise but attitude-wise, too:-))

Bravo Shannon, what an epiphany ! You dress yourself so expertly, I always thought you were much smaller. You truly are awsome and I admire you.

Fantastic, Shannon. You are a style and attitude inspiration.

Wise and well said, Shannon. You are a true inspiration, not only fashion-wise, but also because of your fabulous outlook on body issues, fashion, life in general. Thank you so much for this. Your attitude is a great reminder of the importance of being appreciative of what we already have! That does in no way imply that you don't have much to show for - on the contrary.

You are a true fashion icon to me. I think you dress better than most - and you do it every day. You are a classy, beautiful lady!

Shannon- you are both well dressed and well spoken. A real inspiration on all fronts. Your style leaps off the page and if I were lucky enough to see you IRL, I would notice your put together, always interesting and current look.

Almost everyone I know has some aspect of getting a wardrobe together that is challenging or requires accommodation. Agree that the trick is to tend it and move on to the fun that is fashion. Women can be so helpful to each other in this regard, and the spirit here reflects that daily.
Cheers to you!

Thank you Shannon - for your wise words, your positive attitude, and your willingness to be vulnerable!

Shannon, you are a true inspiration. I sometimes still struggle with this myself, and I am saving your thread to come back to and read again when I'm having those "waiting for one day" moments. Life is too short for that, and fashion too much fun. Thank you!
