I'm back! We had a WONDERFUL time (like 10 times better than expected as we were all a bit anxious and nervous about it) and I'm so glad I didn't do the dress. There were 3-4 ladies dressed to the nines (e.g., strapless red dress with 4" Louboutin heels!) but most of us were "dressy casual" and I felt like I fit right in. It was still incredibly hot but the breezy top wasn't constricting at all.

Of course, I see this morning on Facebook that the camera flash made my navy top sheer! YIKES. You can totally see the outline of my beige bra.

Oh well. It all came together in the end, though I missed my makeup appt. There was a major accident on the freeway (3 of 4 lanes closed) and I almost missed my hair appt. They still took me but as a result, I missed the pre-reunion drinks/appetizers with my girlfriends at a nearby restaurant.

Anyhow, thank you all for your feedback!

Oh so glad you had fun! And you look absolutely great... The pressure to look like we haven't aged a day is so unfortunate but it's there.

Thanks, alaskagirl. I think some of the anxiety was also wondering how people would react. There was weird drama (isn't there always?) with certain people and then there's the fear that maybe it would be a painfully awkward event. The fact that we laughed SO MUCH made it really fun. I couldn't believe how friendly folks were and I tried to talk to as many people as I could. So it all worked out!

I know I'm too late to help you out, but I wanted to say that I prefer the pants outfit to the dress, so I'm glad you picked that one. Like goldenpig said, the second outfit reads more "grown-up sexy" than the first, which is a little less dramatic. You look gorgeous!

I have had that problem with camera flash and bra issues. In real life it looks fine....just as well I am not a celebrity
