Everyone's lovely frocks have given me serious envy. I only have two dresses and they are dressy - formal. So when I happened to find on the clearance rack a few yards of the same fabric I had made my raspberry drape neck top and long sun covering maxi skirt (old long maxi in Finds), I bought enough to make a midi. You inspired me to finish it up yesterday morning in time to wear to the local high school graduation and reception for several family friends.

Summer is finally here, and while 78 degrees F is nothing to many of you, 3 hours in the 7200 foot altitude sun was intense - felt like 90+. I was cool, comfortable and sun protected in my large brimmed hat. Comfy wide Bella Vita sandals enable me to stand for hours.

I 1) wore a dress (matching top and skirt, but Angie said skirts count), 2) bared my lower calves, and 3) tucked! I never would have done this before all the YLF guidance and examples. And I successfully wrestled my long-for-me hair into submission (I was this close to hacking it back to pixie at my appointment last week, but watch my stylist carefully and got a few tips). I felt fab and appropriate. Thanks YLF - progress is being made and never say never. Can wide crops be far behind?
