Does this work?

Well the black and white is not so different for me...but a dress is! This is a simple sheath and I first tried a different jacket but didn't love it together. Does this work? I wasn't sure but I needed to leave so I scrunched the sleeves and went with it! I've worn the shoes just once before- with pants- so it was fun to try them with a dress.

I love the colour and pattern of the jacket with the dress, but you may want to go with a slightly shorter jacket with a dress next time. However, on the whole you look fantastic, and I adore the shoes with the dress!

I agree with Echo. Great dress and shoes, but the first thing I noticed was that the jacket seemed too long. And maybe too loose. The dress is so chic, I'd like to see more of the shape of it on you.

I may be a weird one but I quite like this long non-fitted jacket with a slim sheath dress. And the shoes are all kinds of awesome!

YLF imo. I see what the others mean & the dress & shoes may look better with a shorter jacket but it could be the camera angle too. I'd love to see the dress & shoes with a leather jacket too

The dress length and the shoes are perfect! I love the pattern of the jacket but agree that it looks a bit too big on you. Still you look great!

This is good but I can't tell if the jacket is too big - need a better look at it. What's the fabric?

Yeah, I see that now, that the jacket is too long. Why is it so much easier to see in a picture than a mirror? I might have 1 or 2 jackets that are shorter that I can try. And a knit J Crew jacket that will hopefully work.

I think it's definitely worth experimenting with some different toppers over this dress, because you look amazing in it! I cannot get enough of those gorgeous shapely legs and fabulous shoes! Heck, you have my vote to wear that skirt even a few inches shorter.
