I'd never even heard of condensation dryers before this, didn't even know they were a thing. The more you know...
It is possible to put a vented dryer somewhere without a vent to the outside; we did it once in a garage in an older house. The washer had a hose that got clamped to the utility sink so it could drain, and the dryer vented into this plastic reservoir holding water so most of the lint would end up in the water and then get pulled out in-between loads. You definitely ended up with more lint floating around in the air than with a proper setup, which wasn't a huge deal in a garage but I wouldn't recommend it in the kitchen, say.
