Do you treat/condition your leather skirt?

I don't, but wondering if you are supposed to as other leather goods are meant to be treated.

I'm asking as I know you can buy general leather polishes.

Someone just posted about how she treats her leather bags. I don't . I do know that it depends on how the leather is treated for manufacturing. I know that not all Coach bags get the same glazes or conditioners, so not all can be polished or conditioned the same way. I also have never heard of someone conditioning or polishing leather jackets.

I absolutely condition anything that's leather - skirts, boots, shoes, handbags and jackets. I buy a leather conditioner from the place I've bought a couple of leather jackets from. You have to test a small section in a hidden spot first to ensure that the item is colour fast, and then once you've determined that, you pour a small amount of the conditioner on and rub it in with a clean soft cloth. It keeps the leather supple and soft, and maintains a nice sheen.

I simply waterproof all my leather. Even if it doesn't rain, spills at the desk are not out of the question. I don't polish, though, since I am not concerned about sheen.

Yes! And it makes a world of difference. Me too, like Shannon, bought a leather conditioner at the leather shop (Danier) and it's lasted ages. It comes in a plastic bottle, it's a cream not unlike hair conditioner. I put some on a rag and rub it into my skirts or jackets. At first the leather darkens a little, but it doesn't last; the leather becomes more supple, shiny, like new.
