YES. Love it. Am not as good at it as I would like to be, but I keep trying. The "trying" part is the fun part because I love shopping for lipsticks. I find that whenever I am the slightest bit depressed, I buy a lipstick. Some of my purchases are great. Some not so much.
I even wear lipstick to the gym. I know this is not typically done, but I like it that much.
I wear a red lip that I consider more of a light blue red lip. Violet - not tomato - zero orange and zero brown. I find when I wear this type of almost fuchsia lip my eyes look better/ brighter. I agree the skin goes a bit lighter due to the contrast. But the teeth look white. I clear lip pencil is good and also some of the Clinique Chubby sticks are pretty good - Mightiest Marachino etc... their texture is pretty light but still fairly sheer and lots of red color.
Never. As someone else said, I feel like a clown. My coloring was kind of muted, though, so I think that's why. Now that my hair is grey I wonder if I should try again.
Never for me because I've always been about the eyes. As for seeing it on other women, to my eye, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I really dislike the look on an older face with thin lips because it looks like a vampirish, blood-red slash.
I have been sporting red lips (or coral, depending on which lipstick I find first in my purse) since my braces were taken off. I'm not comfortable with painting my eyes -I don't like my eyes AND I wear contacts), so it makes sense to move the attention downwards.
Really? I would have thought you'd have the perfect mouth to pull it off.
My first job was with Eastern Air Lines and they made us all wear heavy make-up with bright red lips and nail polish. From there I branched out into "power pink" and everything in between. In the 90's I went for that pinkish brown. Now my lips are smaller and have those lines around them so they don't look so good in a dark or bright shade (too Laura Bush). I try to keep them moist but not glossy with a little sheer rose/berry tint. It's too bad because I really did enjoy wearing a bold lip.
