Do I Need Both?

I bought the Earth loafers below in black, and I have already worn them a couple of times. They work well as a summer shoe in my office that recently allowed jeans but banned sandals (I don't understand it either).

I picked up the Munro slip-on sneakers below, and my feet are in love. They are amazingly comfortable.

My husband said they didn't look too shuffleboard set.

But I worry they will compete for the same spot as the Earth loafers. If I didn't already have the Earth shoes, I would keep the Munros without a doubt. And the Munros are a lot more comfortable than the Earth loafers, but also a lot more casual.

Not sure I want or need to duplicate on this.

Are the colors (black Munro, blush Earth) accurately represented in Finds? If so, I think you could keep both without splitting wears. A light shoe and a dark shoe in the same silhouette tend to be useful in different outfits.

The Munros are a top pick. Soooo sleek, comfy and well made. If they came in white - guess who would have them.

The Munro can take you into Fall since it is a heavier style than the Earth. . .and the Earth looks slightly dressier. You shouldn’t wear the same shoes two days in a row for wear and airing out reasons. Have you been wearing the Earth shoes two days in a row, or are there other shoes you reach for?

I just bought my 3rd pair of the Lulu's. I bought the black and a metallic gray last year, and just bought the blue ones and have been wearing them around the house.

The more I wear the Lulus the more comfortable they get.

So I vote yes, keep 'em!

If you lived in a warmer climate, I might encourage you to pick one, but since you have seasons, and a pretty cold winter, I think you can justify both, since the perforations on the Earth seem more spring/summer to me, while the Munro would be great for colder months.

I don’t see this as duplication. I can see outfits that one shoes makes the outfit over the other that might just work. I would have no problem keeping both. AND THEY ARE COMFORTABLE!

We want functionality, long term commitment in a shoe and if we're lucky we might even get a stylish fit. The Munro's have a narrow option, such a good sign for me. I have those Earth shoes; they are comfy. Would I wear them for a full day of sight-seeing and walking on cobblestone streets? prolly not. One of the reviewers for the Munro's said that she took them to China for lots of walking. My Earth shoes might not do that but they function well for everyday walking and it is okay for me if they are not a winter shoe. It is okay for a shoe to rest up during the winter months in my closet, hibernate a bit and come out in the spring. So I don't see a need to choose one over the other. They function well for different occasions and needs. One of the reviewers above said we're an enabling bunch. Some truth to that! But if your pocketbook can bear the price and these shoes fit comfortably & you can use them, then I say knock it out of the park.

I agree with Keix. These would not compete. Some outfits require light-colored shoes for balance, while other outfits require dark shoes.

Gigi- They are both black. I have short legs, so I try to mask it by matching my shoes to the color of my pants to make my legs look longer.

I think they have very different looks. From how comfortable you say the Munro’s are, if they are in your budget I say keep them.
If you are questioning splitting wears or CPW, maybe project out with and without the Munro’s.

It sounds like black slip-on flats might be one of your essentials. I don't think the Munros will steal wears from the Earths -- they're a sneaker rather than a loafer, so I bet the two will serve different purposes in the long run. Great looking shoe -- if it was solid instead of perfed leather, I'd be ordering a pair to try on!

These are totally different shoes; but they are both neutral and if they both 'go' with the same things in your wardrobe, then you, you will be splitting wears.

If you are indeed splitting wears, this is not necessarily a bad thing because both pairs will last twice as long. Is this what you want? Or would you like to wear one pair, wear it out faster, and then buy a new pair? It depends on whether you'd like some variety.

If they're comfortable and you can afford it, I'll say: Keep both. Both are chic, versatile, in neutral colours and are likely to get a lot of wear.
