If you wear white boots with an otherwise dark outfit, I've heard that you have to wear a little bit of white somewhere else on your person or it doesn't work. Is this true? Why doesn't it work? I read somewhere that the problem is that people's eyes are drawn down to your feet and they stay there. It seems to me that if you're wearing bright white boots, a white collar or watch isn't going to distract people from looking at your feet.
Plus, why is it a problem if people are looking at your feet? I wouldn't wear white boots (or red heels, for that matter) if this bothered me, because they definitely attract attention.
