Sorry Angie, but my mother deals every single day with patients who stab themselves in the eye with mascara wands and the like, so I just can't be moved on this.
Actually, she recently saw a patient who separates her eyelashes using a safety pin, which I think is not an unusual thing to do (Audrey Hepburn used to do it). You can guess what happened...
It can happen to anyone no matter how careful they try to be. It just makes me cringe. I am not opposed to mascara and used to wear it myself, but I had to be locked in a quiet, enclosed, unmoving space with bright lights and the fullest ability to concentrate. Like Khris, I also would only go for the natural stuff. I draw the line at putting dye and sketchy chemicals anywhere near my eyes. Too traumatized I guess. Luckily I already have long and dark eyelashes though.
