Denim Jacket

Have you tried H&M or Forever21? I've seen cute cropped jackets in recent months. I love the Levi one but the price seems exorbitant. Not crazy about the puffy sleeves on the JCP version.

I'd love the second one if it didn't have the embellishments. That's a deal breaker. Do the puffy sleeves of the JCP jacket fit your style? Do you have narrow shoulders?

The puffy sleeves and embellishments do not seem to fit the bill for the classic jacket you want. I agree w/ F21 and H&M suggestions - you might also try Abercrombie and Hollister (yeah, I know, the hated perfume makes them a no-go for many, but vintage-y denim stuff seems to be their thing).

Great suggestions, none of these stores are on my radar because I would have to get to an actual mall to shop at one. I like one jacket I saw on the F21 site, but it turned out to be a kids' size. Are there usually more denim jackets in the fall or is this a spring only item?

I absolutely love my DKNY petite denim jacket. Ebay has a similar one right now - of course there are no returns, so if you don't know how the brand fits that might make it a no go for you http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-DKNY-D.....5199580a0c
And I sometimes find Jr's tops or jackets fit me well (and I'm over 40) because the armholes aren't as low. You just have to look a little harder there to be sure it's not teeny bopper styling.

You might want to try a thrift store Modgrl--I couldn't believe how many were in my two local shops!! I bought a size 40 for a friend for $3.99!!! I can remember a day when jean jackets were rare and coveted, stolen if you weren't paying attention--now they fill a rack at Goodwill!

I second Patty's suggestion - there are billions of them at our local thrift stores, including cropped ones. And I got mine at F21.

Glad to see this question posted, modgirl! I, too, am in search of a denim jacket. I found one I really like at Gap this past weekend - the London Cropped Jacket, but it's only in white on their website. Think I may be going back for it.
Good suggestion about looking at thrift stores, too!

I'm also eagerly listening to replies here! I, too, am in search of the perfect cropped denim jacket. Most have too long sleeves. I know I will wear the sleeves scrunched but in the past they were so much too long that scrunching wasn't enough.

Hope you find your perfect jacket soon. These sound like some good suggestions.

I really love the first one! I think it is very versatile. Actually if you need to fill a classic wardrobe hole first this may not be the one, but I have a few denim jackets and the cute trendy ones are fun and look great with a classic sheath or fun summer dress:)
