I have been incredibly stressed about professional issues as well, and the anxiety can lead into a train of thought where I *know* I'm not thinking rationally.
My dear mom reminds me every day to take it one step at a time. I can't tackle the whole problem at once; I just need to find a small place to start and work at that for a while. Some days that's enough to help. Other days, I just try to believe it as I struggle NOT to panic.
