My Katie's purchases arrived.
The cropped denim jacket had armholes that were too big, so I have returned that already. It seems quite a task to find a fitted, cropped denim jacket in shops in Australia.
These are my (elastic waist!) cropped denim pants.
There could be so many things that could go wrong with pants like these!! Haha.
But...
They are really comfortable and I think the length is okay. It is a very dark denim and that is how I usually like my denim. It doesn't have great detailing though, as in, the back pockets are pretty ordinary and the front detailing is all fake - for a slim, flat front!
I was thinking half tucking wouldn't really be an option in pants like these, but on second thoughts, I could just add belt carriers to the waist band myself, add a belt and then do a half or semi tuck on the front. I have a green belt with a bronze buckle that might look good with this shirt....
I have worn the crops here with my husband's Desigual shirt (I am thinking I may *borrow* this more regularly), a wooden bangle, a cross body bag and my comfortable wedge espadrilles.
I imagine this would be an fast, fallback outfit for when I am planning on traipsing around Saturday morning markets in the sun and eating juicy mangoes while sitting on the grass.
What do you think of the length? They also come in capri length, which finishes right below the knee. I felt more drawn to this slightly longer length though. Also, I would like some non-denim bermuda length shorts with more tailored details for a different kind of casual summer look.
I am sorry about the poor photos. My wardrobe mirror is very close to my bed, so I find getting my whole body into the shot to be a bit of a trial. I still need to find a full length mirror that will fit in my tiny flat unobtrusively!
Do you creative ladies have any other styling suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
