Is the cream too high contrast on me? Am I potentially going overboard with slouchy berets?

Plus, quick snap of my outfit today. Wore to pick up hubs from the airport (yay! He's home!) and run some errands.

It's definitely eye-catching and high contrast with your coloring, and you look great in berets. I admit, however that I prefer and LOVE the outfit without the beret. The jacket then becomes the star, and it looks awesome on you Janet.

Yeah, I would probably not wear the white hat with the white jacket -- will have to think about exactly what I'd wear it with. There is a beanie here in teal that is such an awesome color on me, but i prefer the shape of the beret. Maybe I should hold out to find a teal beret!

Love your WIW today! Especially the way the scarf and boots go together. And the cream / white clutch is not going unnoticed by me either. I do like the beret on you, and with the jacket but maybe lose the scarf when you wear those two together. (Unless you need them both for the elements, then function trumps fashion in my book.)

Well, the cashmere beret grew on me, and I kept thinking about it as I went about my errands. It was on sale, and I had a coupon, and this was the last one in this color, so I went back for it. Thanks for enabling, ladies.

Thanks for the compliments about my outfit today! It was a little warmer, so the white moto came out to play. I am reaching for these boots so much! And it was fun to rediscover that scarf, which is a lightweight silk and ties in with the boots so well.

I've already been wanting a beret. Now I covet one. In a bunch of colors. The white looks lovely on you, such a different and equally pretty effect as a traditional blue or darker beret.

Brilliant idea for the peacoat -- thank you, Caro!

I also decided to pop into BR while I was there (picking up some gift cards at Starbucks next door), to see if they had those Angie-endorsed cream jeans. Well, they had them a size too small for me, but they had a nice worn light grey in my size, so I tried them on. They are actually a really great fit, so I bought the grey ones and ordered the cream ones from another store. They were 50% off so a good deal. Seemed like a good, inexpensive way to try another lighter pair of jeans for winter. My white Paiges are a very cool optic bright white, so they almost seem a little too "cool" for winter.
