Today I am wearing wintry all black outfit but I am dreaming of color and spring weather. I just cant wait to start wearing more colorful outfits, I am so sick of this dark neutrals in my winter wardrobe.
I have started planning my spring refresh and have collected some items that I am considering to get soon. But it turns out that this items are forming two different color schemes and I am not sure which way to go. I like both equally so please help me decide.
One color scheme is red/orange/coral and another is green/turquoise.
My spring/summer neutrals are navy and white.
I have added some of the items that I am considering in finds, so please have a look to get the idea.

Anchie, why can't you incorporate both colour schemes? You can wear them together - (I would) - but also ground each palette with neutrals.

Hm.. getting items in both color schemes is something I really have not considered. It would be more than I have planned. But it is tempting. Until now I never done big shopping at the beginning of the season. I was just adding things here and there durig the season without the real plan.
Maybe it is time to change this habbit. I would eventually buy this amount of clothes over the few months anyway.

Oh my goodness, I can't decide! Wow, these colours are uplifting.
I love the scarves (esp. the pink and orange one) and think you could wear those to tie disparate colour schemes together.

I also think you should consider at the beginning of next winter season to try to add a couple of colorful winter pieces to have a little boost of color all year long.

Ah, you seem so disciplined, Anchie. I would want to add a little of both color schemes, too. They play so well with navy and white, and you could mix them all up together, as others have noted.

I love both colour schemes too , and in my own Spring/Summer wardrobe I have both tones, I often use say some earrings to tie the 2 colours together eg I have a cobalt tunic with a small floral embroidery/ patch which has orange in. Then I wear an orange 3/4 sleeve tank underneath and my cobalt/orange Native American woven earrings that I bought at the Grand Canyon with the outfit. All your finds are lovely!

Thank you all. I already have some orange and turquoise in my wardrobe but never actually wore them together. You inspired me. I will try the combination next week since weather is finally starting to be more spring like.
Angie, I am so glad that you like the bag. I have returned mine. It was beautiful but it did not work for me. And regarding the color, I found it really chameleon like. It seemed more yellow in the sun, but more green in the artificial light. Please let me know if you notice the same phenomenon. Or maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me

I love these colours and think that you would wear them well, and in combination together (although I always shy away from red and green together, due to feeling it is too much like Christmas). I would start with the piece that you love the most in your collection and then buy the items that co-ordinate with that (jacket, scarf, shoes, bag etc). I really love the turquoise and green scarf.

Turquoise and coral not only work together but are a classic combination, in my mind--I always seem to see these two colors together in spring and summer. So another vote for finding ways to incorporate both!

I know what you mean! I wish I could find more work- worthy winter items in some brighter colors. Sweaters and scarves are mostly it.

I love your choices. I may be a spanner, but I can see you might have to make some tough choices IF you are sensitive to how colors mix, OR look at a few new options that combine better, if your " eye" tells you so. For example , "blues" and " reds" go together, but some will go better together than others with your coloring and wardrobe items. So there might be a shade of turquoise handbag or texture that goes better with bright coral. Or , start with the one blazer that lights up your face colors and makes your heart sing most, and build from there. The scarves are gorgeous, but there are a lot of scarf options, so 2 ideas: there may be a scarf print that mixes your color opposites and ties things together, or, you might pick blazer and handbag that you know will work well with a lot of outfits, and add some other colors with a less expensive scarf or 2 and use your neutrals as a backdrop.

Anchie, you were right to return yours when you wear a lot of silver. Furla is more for Team Gold. And YES. The bag is a little neon in the artificial light. Love that. (I'm an '80s gal at heart). I will wear the bag for you.

The orange and turquoise bags here are wonderful for you.

I like both palettes very much, but in terms of working easily with navy and white, I'd go with the green /turq. I struggle with this every summer too and end up with a huge mishmash of both.....which isn't always great.

unfrumped - these are all really good suggestions, specially start small and build from there and test the color scheme with some inexpensive scarf.

Angie -hope you will feature your new bag in the outfit post, I am curious to see how you would style it.

lisap - agree that green/turquoise looks great with navy and white and that it will be easier to combine for my work wardrobe. I have some turquoise alteady ( no bag though) but no green at all. And I am not sure would I like green on me. And green suit is probably too much

With neutrals of grey and navy for now (my vacation capsule). I think that blush pink and white will mix in nicely.

UmLila, this sounds like very calming and fresh color palette.

I was thinking about the best way to combine this two color schemes. And it seems that Amazon is reading my mind - this shoes just showed up on my front page. What do you think? Too much going on? Do they look like they belong to the same closet? They are really inexpensive so not sure about comfort level, and I am not big on patterns but they seem like a fun addition.

Love the shoes Anchie. Too Much Going On? - not in my book! Although I did ask that question in one of my posts recently. Seems a good moment to show you some very bright winter clothes of mine. We took the legs shot as my best friend and I have the same leather/ponte leggings despite our very different heights/sizes. I've got used to being always with a model type when shopping! I tie these very bright boots in with the sheer floaty tunic- pinks and oranges.

I've been craving color, too, Anchie! I recently picked up a blazer and a cashmere sweater in a fiery orange/red, so I think that's going to figure in some way at least in my spring outfits. I don't usually like that hot color in the summer though so I'm not sure how long the affair will last. Maybe that's the answer to your question? Maybe you've got a transitional palette and a hot weather palette? I don't know. I'm probably the last person to ask about colors. I don't plan this aspect of my wardrobe at all; I'm very a emotional buyer and wearer.

Case and point: please see picture for today's craziness. It's bitter cold outside and I am stuck in on a Sunday working on a report. Striped blue/green tee for coziness with flame red scarf for energy. It works for me! Hahah

ETA: I love the items in your Finds! I wish I knew where they were all from. And I also love the colorful outfit Angie put together with all of her recent bright purchases. I think you could do something really special with the riot of color you are gathering.
