I love 3 the best, something about the vest and more of the top visible works for me. I know what you mean about red pants, though - since I got my red jeans I think the only thing I've worn with them is plain black and plain charcoal grey. Something about stripes feels too gimmicky and navy is too patriotic. What about a chambray shirt?
