Confirmation outfit - final version?

I'm leaving tomorrow and just started packing, so I have to decide on my outfit. Originally I thought I'd go with the black top, but I feel like all that black is too harsh next too my face, especially because I'm not wearing a necklace. And the black top would have to be tucked and the skirt is very high waisted... When thinking about other options I came across this top, not sure why I haven't thought of it before. I don't wear it that often, I guess. This one has the advantage of being a flattering color and it doesn't need to be tucked. And I could take the blazer off. I'm wearing specs, Oma's bracelet and my pearl studs.

With black polka dot hose. I'm not sure I want to wear this hose with it, it's very dark and I'm also slipping a bit in my shoes wearing these.

Without blazer. How does it look? I'm not wearing the right undergarments, I'd do that on Sunday.

With bare legs. I like it better this way and I'm not in danger of loosing my shoes like this. I might freeze though.

I'm going to go shopping with my mum on Thursday (for presents), I could look out for different hose and a bag then.

What do you think? Feel free to veto the top if you think it's a bad idea.

I love #3 because it's the most springlike version - very pretty and flattering. Maybe you could find some nude hose if you're really concerned about being cold. The top is a great style and colour - good choice! Do you need to buy a handbag? If so, what about a clutch style in one of the blue shades from the skirt.

I really like the burgundy top with that skirt. The black hose look fine, but the bare legs are more spring-y. Hopefully you can find some nude hose, but if not, the black hose look nice and will keep you warm.

Thanks missvee! I'm going to look for nude hose, but maybe I'm just going to go bare legged. It all depends at the weather forecast, at the moment it says 68°F, but our weather has been so unpredictable lately that this could still change a lot. I don't have a fitting handbag at the moment. Angie suggested just the same as you did in the older thread, a blue clutch. I've been looking, but I haven't found anything so far. Problem is I don't want to spend too much on that handbag and most I found were well over 50€.

I think 3 looks great! Find some nude hose if you are worried about being cold.

Great outfit. Bare legs if you are warm enough. I think #2 without the jacket would make a spring\summer outfit edp with sandals. You look scrumptious.

how about nude hose or fishnets? the outfit looks lovely and very spring like with nude legs but if its cold they might be the answer.

The top is a great color and a really pretty neckline on you. I would for sure wear nude hose even at 68 degrees, but sounds like you can prepare for either/or.

Another vote for nude stockings. You look wonderful with the deep red next to your face and the skirt is very pretty.

And that's a GREAT chop and change---true of the top as well as your hair (I hadn't seen this length, I think; you've gone a bit shorter since the first chop, yes?)

I have to say I have a slight preference for the unifying effect of the darker hose, which also seems to add a little extra bit of 'occasion' and gravitas; but hey, slipping around in your shoes won't do---so go ahead and go barelegged if weather permits. It's still a smashing outfit either way. The colour next to the face flatters and looks very deliberately put together with your specs; and that skirt is just a showstopper.

Thanks Unfrumped! It might be even colder and then hose is necessary in any case, but it might be warmer too, which would be great. The weather forecast leaves a wide range of possible temperatures. Last week we went from 77°F to 55°F overnight.

Thanks Sarah! I will. The weekend is going to be great, first my brother's birthday on Saturday and then the confirmation. I'm going to see if I can post some real life pictures when I'm back.

Thanks Angie! I've been searching for a colorful clutch since you suggested it the first time, but either they're way too expensive or they're looking cheap. I'm starting another try this week, hopefully I'm going to find something. If not then I'll go without a bag and keep my hands busy with the camera.

Thanks Manidipa! I had a bit of a scare with my hair stylist which resulted in a second cut on the following day and hair that was a lot shorter. But I like it now! You can find the two threads when you look at my recent conversations. The slipping with the hose is not bad, but it's annoying. It's not every hose though, I've worn these flats with hose before without a problem.

Thanks Carole! The chopped hair is fairly new yes. Although I didn't get another trim since the big change, all differences you can see between the pics I've posted since are just my curls behaving differently.

This looks great! I am a little concerned about your cold legs/losing shoes dilemma though. Maybe fishnets because they still allow a little grip? I wish I had ideas where to find a clutch, but I just haven't been out much. Have fun!

Thanks Scarlet! I've never had fishnets, but I'll try them if I find a suitable pair. I thought of buying more than one pair on Thursday, that way I hopefully find a pair that works. I need a bunch of new tights anyway. Or I might still find the perfect replacement shoes for my oxfords and wear those. I'm not holding my breath for that though. As for clutches, we don't have that many shopping possibilities at home, but I'm going to have a look.
